Big Thunder FP in mid-November

Hi all.
I know Big Thunder is closed for refurb through Nov. 18, which happens to be our arrival day.
I went to get FP this AM and the earliest the day there was any FP availability for BT was Wednesday, Nov. 23.

So here is my question - does anyone know if there were ever FP available for BT from Nov. 18-22, or is it common practice to leave a FP "cushion" post-refurb, "just in case"?

I would like to keep checking for random availability on those days earlier in my trip, but I'm wondering if that's going to be a futile exercise.

I got one for the 22nd, but there was nothing for the 20th.

any chance of the refurb ending sooner, any recent history of this happening. very about this i leave the week before its scheduled to reopen

I was able get one for 11/22 today and had plenty of time choices
