Big snowstorm hits Columbus, Ohio this weekend

Well Hi everbody. I am from Ohio also. Ever here of Greenville? We are about 1 hour west of Dayton. We are geting hit pretty good with the snow over here. At last check we had 13 inches of snow and huge drifts. My neighbor across the street has a drift up to theirs windows and then my other neighbor has a drift that if you add 3 more feet on top of it it will be up to his roof.

I ahve not seen a snow like this forever.

I was just saying to my dad that I haven't seen snow like this since I was a kid (used to live in an area that would get dumped on). I am not used to seeing this much and totally unplowed streets. Decided that after hearing Ohio State closed that today was a good day to stay home. None of the roads I'd drive would be plowed at all. And they say we could get more snow today too. I am so sick of this!!! I think I need to go south... actually going north might work too

Our side streets haven't been plowed yet - and have no clue when they are going to get to us

Welcome 919FL - I sure do know where Greenville is! I hope you're able to be plowed out sometime today.

A snow plow driver was telling that until they can get 'down to the pavement' around here - no salt will be put down - as they can't afford to waste the salt

Still waiting on plows here today. Who knows when that I will happen. I did hear one in the distance but it must have been for one of the major roads several blocks up. I must say I am just glad I decided not to go anywhere. Because we have so many plows in the city we are only at a level 2 emergency. I think if we didn't have so many that it would be higher up.

Well we have tractors with plows on the front digging people out. LOL
