Big scare, and now I can't sleep

I am glad everything turned out ok. I had my worst scare during a deployment. Someone knocked on the door. This was back when I was younger and did not think bad things could happen by opening the door without asking who it was first.

I opened the door and there was a strange guy standing there. What scared me the most was he never introduced himself or told me why he had come to my house. He basically started the conversation with "Your husband is _____ and he is underway right now. I know him from the ship." Then, he turned around and his buddy popped out from behind the huge tree located near my front door. I panicked and shut the door and locked it. The next time my husband called me, I asked him who that was. From the description he said he was sure it was _________, but he was basically AWOL. It left the nagging question of why this person would come to my house when I had never met him before, he knew my husband was out to sea, and my husband never told him to come by the house for any reason. How did he know where I lived if, to my knowledge, he had never been to my house?

I am a another who called 911. It was about 7 years ago and my DH was working nights I heard banging outside the bathroom window called 911 they came out and checked it and it was a mother with her two small baby raccoons by did I feel like and idiot. The sweet 911 dispatcher called back to make sure I was okay.
