WE are pretty easy to please but the meal we had there last month was awful,so I thought I would pass it on. Steak could not be cut, much less chewed. Meatloaf was tough and dry. Mahi sandwich tasted very fishy(Mahi is supposed to be very mild). Kids mac n cheese was very good and all teh adults wer fighting over their leftovers,LOL. Service was fair.

We ate at Spoodles the night before and in retrospect should have gone back there but tried this place because we could get a reservation(not a PS) and wanted to be on time for the Illuminations Cruise.

Places we really liked during our stay:

Spoodles
Palio
Marrakesh

Would be happy to answer any questions on the above.

Don't eat their chips and salsa. It's not Salsa. It's jarred spaghetti sauce. Blech.

About two years ago, we also had a terrible dinner at BRG/B. The service was terrible, extremely rude hostess, ruder still manager when we complained, poor waiter. The food was still cold inside (meatloaf). We had eaten there for lunch a year earlier and thought it was pretty good. Now after that fiasco dinner, we will not return - ever. It was even worse than RFC at DTD and that was pretty bad.

We had a not so nice dining experience here too. The food was OK if I remember correctly, but the thing that made me sick was the yeasty smell of the place (yes, I am well aware that the it's a brewery!). We went in January, and it was very cold, so it was all closed up. I could barely eat because of the smell.

I've never been in a brewery that had really good food. The beer on the other hand...;)

they were out of the two beers that DH wanted to try. Not good for a brewery to be out of their name sake, in my opinion. This was in June, and there was hardly anyone on the Boardwalk. Hmmm sounds like this place may need some renovations?

Wow! I'll admit we only ate here once, had chicken quesidillas and they wree pretty good.

Anyone have any good experiences there?

Honestly, on these boards, I have always seen negative reviews of this place! Maybe, a positive review once or twice but most, overwhelmingly negative. Ive noticed it doesnt ever seem to be crowded either.
Between the negative reviews and lack of crowds in the restaurant, we have never had a desire to dine here.

We ate here in May 2002. We gave it 2 tries and will never do it again. The service was ok but the food wasn't good. I do remember the salad being good, hey that's something positive!!!
Now Spoodles on the other hand was great! Both the service and the food.

I did, but that was waaay back in 2000. Had some sort of chicken salad and a beer sampler.

I just ate there the end of May, we had the meatloaf and the ribs and everything was delicious. I am a DVC member w/BWV my home resort so we eat at BRG quite a bit and always have good food, it's not my favorite WDW restaurant by far, but yet still one we enjoy for a quick meal in the evening while sitting on the outside patiio on the boardwalk and enjoying the atmosphere.

I am also a DVC member who owns at BWV and we have eaten at BRG several times and its been good. We've had good burgers there for lunch. Last October we had the grilled chicken over pasta with marinara and it was really good. We also like it because when our daughter, 10 months then, was acting up we could scoot out and walk her around the boardwalk for a few minutes. Sorry to hear of all the bad experiences there. I'm wondering if we should steer clear of it this October!

We are also DVC members and own at the BW. We have had burgers fo lunch and they were fine but we have only had dinner there once. I had the meatloaf and it was awful!! That was 2 years ago and we have not returned. I had hoped it would improve because it is so convient and I love the outdoor seating on the boardwalk.

I have one there restauants here where I live at. I would not eat one there restuants bad service. The viener log beer is very good. It's a dark beer.

I think there restanuts is a poorly mangaement change.

We've eaten there but have only had burgers which were pretty good.

Hmmm...very mixed bag here. Sounds like sticking with the basics (burgers) might be the way to go.

We ate there in November and overheard our waitress telling another server, "I hate when kids sit at my table." Hello-o-o-o, it's Disney World. Our kids were being quiet as mice, too. I think she was worried about her tip. Well, she didn't get much of one.

Never again.

Food- can't even remember what we had.

We also only ate there once & also had the chicken quesidillas. I thought they were ok. We never went back & I don't think we will.

I had chicken caesar salad and it was very good. We shared a few appetizers, everyone enjoyed their meal.

We love to have light meals of appetizers at Big River Grill. We always enjoy sitting at a table outside enjoying the view.
