Big Love premiered last night

YAYYYY! It's BAAAACK!

LOVED that the writers introduced the ousting of "Frankie" by the father. As that is what often occurs in polygamy. Boys turn 14/15 and they are forced to hit the road

LOVED that during the meeting with the couple about opening a casino.. that the Mormon concept that those with darker skins are deemed less was brought to the surface. and I do hope that it is explored a great deal more.

Teeny... oh you baaad, bad. girl.!!..

Mary Kay Place is an amazing actress... she totally gives her Big Love character credibility and quirky evil twists.

Wanda... oh how I adore the crazy Wanda. I would love to see more of Joey... and Barb together.

Sister wives... sister wives... poor Barb, good Nicki/evil Nicki, Margene.. who is much smarter than anyone gives her credit, ... and now ANA.... who I do believe will give them all a run for their money.

All of the characters on BIG LOVE are multi faceted... everybody from Bill's business partner, Bill's mother, the kids, the wives, the compound folks... hec, even the Greenes.... ( i can not wait for their return to the canvas)
each character is shown in different ways..making Big Love very interesting to watch.

Nikki is awesome. If I had to have a sister-wife, I would definitely choose her. She is so strong. I don't think her mom is Alby's mom. I know they have the same dad, but I am pretty sure he has a different mother.

Shortbun I don't think Big Love qualifies as a '"guilty pleasure". It is one of the best shows of the past 5-10 years, no guilt in watching some quality film-making and storytelling. Looks like there are a number of fans here.

I watch very little television but I am hopelessly addicted to this show! I do have to go into the bedroom and watch it because my husband and kids don't feel the same way.

While it was on break I re-watched the series again!

I love that Alby is a closet gay and that his mother used that to try to have him killed. This show is just full of drama and fun.

That's what I thought too at first and it's obviously what Alby thought. But did she????? She knows Alby is gay, that much is certain. But was she the one who arranged it or was it someone else? After all, one of the motifs of that episode was that jumping to a conclusion based on limited knowledge can sometimes lead you to a false belief.

But Teeny! OMGoodness, who would've thunk it! And Sarah, I really feel for Sarah. She's feeling trapped and doesn't know a way out yet. Of course, DH feels most for Bill. ("3 wives? What kind of man is dumb enough to have 3 wives. One's bad enough. And I can see 2 if they're good friends, but 3? You'd have to be an idiot!")

My only disappointment in Sunday's episode was that I didn't listen to my instincts and overrule my DH's decision to watch Desparate Housewives when it was on at 9:00. I watched the DVRd episode of Big Love after Des. Hwvs. DH was aweful on Sunday. Big Love was SO good! I'm glad it, and Flight of the Conchords are back on HBO.

My DH will kinda' sort of almost watch it with me because it's on as we're going to bed and because he loves talking about how Bill is really dumb for taking on 3 wives "Dude! You're out numbered! Give it up!"

Other than that, I have no one to discuss it with. Did anyone else youtube Daveigh Chase after she sang "Happiest Girl in the Whole USA"? Dang, that girl has some PIPES!

Finally just watched Sundays episode. Since after Christmas I watched the last 2 seasons! I've been watching since the get-go but wanted to watch it all again.
My husband loves this show. When it first came on he said he wasn't going to watch it, had no interest at all. One episode and he was hooked. He's bumming now because he's working down in Florida and doesn't have HBO. I need to remember to call the cable company and get that set up for him.

I like Ana a lot and will be an interesting addition.
