Big Love premiered last night

I loved the end of the episode when they all showed up at Ana's apartment and everyone seemed so happy, even Barb, and especially Ana. They all looked like one big happy family. And then after Barb got the call from her doctor, her body language completely changed and you could tell she was just thinking, "what the hell have I gone and done?".

So I guess that Sarah's pregnancy has been confirmed now, from that scene with her crying and the pregnancy book sitting on her lap.

I am so proud of Lois for what she's doing to Frank, and proud of Frank's new legal wife (forget her name) for hitting him with the shovel when she came in and saw what he was doing to Lois. You could tell that the wife was terrified at what she had done, and Lois acted so mean to her and told her to leave, but you could tell that she was grateful to her and happy to know that she has an ally in her hatred of Frank. It's also obvious that Jodean is not fond of Frank either, and I can see her becoming an ally of Lois in the future as well. I think she can tell that Lois isn't one to take Frank's crap and it's obvious that Jodean doesn't want to be with Frank either and I see potential there, given how graciously she spoke to Lois as her new sister-wife, even though Lois yelled at her and told her to leave. Wanda is being crazy, as usual, but it's nice to see her directing her craziness at someone who actually deserves it, instead of at Kathy. I'd like to see Joey, Wanda, and Kathy leave the compound.

I can't believe that Vern and Jojo left Don and took the kids!

What's going on with Nicki? She was raised at Juniper Creek and knows it's her duty to bear as many children as possible. Is she having an internal conflict? Is she having thoughts that perhaps practicing the Principle is not the best idea? As a feminist, I want to say, good for her for taking charge of her body and taking birth control if she doesn't want any more children. But it totally goes against her character.

And what's with the Rhonda shrine at that house? Is that her bedroom? Roman made it clear to Bill that Rhonda needs to be found, and for Sarah, Heather, and Frankie to have found Rhonda's room at this house would be a vehicle for that storyline.

I don't have HBO, and so I have to download the episodes, and therefore don't get to see the previews for the next week's show. Can anyone tell me what the previews show for next week?

Do you really think all that will happen next week??? I think that preview which they indeed did show last Sunday after BL was over is a synopsis of the entire season....!!! :confused3 Seems like allot for one episode.
That was the same preview that they showed after Big Love on Sunday night. They usually only preview to the next episode, but who knows with HBO?

I kind of remember last season that she wanted a divorce but the new wife referred to Lois as a sister wife. I thought Joey didn't want to follow the principal.:confused3 Does anyone realize that Alby's wife is cut throat ***** from House

Joey didn't want to but Wanda was in the hosp for mental problems and she told him she wanted him to.

isn't Lois still the legal wife???

You know, I completely forgot about the episode(s) where Bill paid Frank to marry Lois and make her the legal/first wife. After his legal/first wife, Roberta, died, Frank announced that he'd be taking another one of his wives (not Lois) as his first wife, and Lois was really pissed off. Okay, I remember now. :)

I got the impression that that was Rhonda's room. I also had the impression that she was "with" Frankie. Remember back to some of the earlier episodes when her mother catches her with a boy her age? Was that Frankie?

That would make sense. Frankie was kicked out of Juniper Creek for being "friendly" with a girl his age who was "ear-marked" for an older, more prominent member of the compound. Rhonda and Frankie are about the same age and Rhonda is pre-engaged to Roman.

Oh, the suspense, it kills me!

The girls did call it the rats nest. So its gotta be hers.

ok - I got HBO today - just for this show:happytv:

I haven't seen all the episodes from the first year. Did they ever explain why Lois wears pants, cuts her hair short, seems to be against everything the community stands for, yet still lives on the compound. Or is that gas station off the compound?

they never really explained it but Sarah and her were talking about it on the first season. It appears that it has something to do with her daughter dying.

Yes, it had something to do with her daughter dieing. The other wives ganged up on her because they thought she cut her hair out of pride. It was really out of grief.

Nicki is afraid of being overshadowed by her children---she is a bit of a narcissist.

Thanks, LisaB and Nik's Mom. I didn't know Lois had a daughter. I'm definitely going to have to rent the first season.

Ok I just took the quiz and I am also Barb. I was so hoping to my Margene LOL :rotfl2: .

I found this on a website but can't find the explanation on the pants.

Lois explains her short hair to Sarah (Amanda Seyfried), telling her that she cut her hair, like the women used to in biblical times, after her daughter, Margaret, drowned in Lake Mead.
