~ BIG LOVE on HBO ~ Season 5 ~ Winter 2011

A loose end nobody has brought up yet, and I have to wonder: What became of Cara Lynn? She wasn't there at the final scene. Did she go back to a compound life, or was she going to stay with Nicki?

I did go back and watch the ending again, I noticed that Heather and Ben both had rings so I assume they are now married.

Cara Lynn was in the last scene...she came in the door behind Margene, her hair was down, she was very 'modern' looking and was in a black dress. So I guess she stayed after all.

I cried like a freaking baby! I like the way it ended. I however never thought Carl would be the one to kill Bill. I always thought it would happen while he was at the Senate.

Glad to help out, snarling coyote. As I said, you did a very good job of summarizing lots of Mormon history! Very impressive, with only one seminar years ago. I know the history backward and forward since I was raised in it (though I no longer practice). Gave me an interesting perspective on the TV show, though, as we had polygamists living on our street corner.

Ok-I just re-watched the ending and I think that the reason that Emma Smith showed up in Bill's "vision" is because he realized that women could be priesthood holder too in the end-which is why he asked Barb to bless him. Also, Sara said thank you to her mother for the ceremony that she had for the baby's blessing so I think we are supposed to gather that Barb became the leader of Bill's church after he died. Did anyone else get this?

I took Emma Smith as Lois as a very young woman in a different time period.

That's how I felt too. At first I thought that Bill's vision meant that he was going to be the next Profit, but when he was shot, I realized the vision was about Barb.

I'm happy Bill was killed. I was starting to think that nothing dramatic would happen given Bill catching (not even killing) Albie last week.

I SERIOUSLY thought that the scene with Barb, Nikki and Margene riding in the car was going to result in a car accident, thus killing all 3 of them. Not that I want any of them dead, but it would've made for good TV.

I knew Frank would assist Lois's suicide, so no surprise there, but when the neighbor came out and approached Bill, I thought, "Yes, this is it!" So, I was happy about that. Even though I don't like Bill, I did cry, especially when he asked Barb to bless him. I'm not completely heartless.
