BIG BROTHER 19! SPOILER THREAD! "SUMMER OF TEMPTATION"

I don't watch the feeds, just the show.
I don't like Paul....but I like the game I see.
I like Cody, he just doesn't have a good social game
I do not like Josh.

I despise Josh. I feel bad for Cody when he talks about his daughter is his only family he has. Cody military background isn't helping him in this game.

Paul is playing an okay game. He is not playing a great game because of all the help he is getting from production. He was given 8 friendship bracelets, pretty much setting up an automatic alliance for him; he was given 3 weeks of safety and he wasn't in the house when the first eviction happened with Cameron, so he was safe from 4 evictions total.

For his first HoH he as going to put Mark and Elena up as pawns, goes into the diary room and comes out saying you know I think putting up 2 alliances members up as pawns is not such a great idea. Call me skeptical but I think production told him putting up 2 alliance members as pawns was not a great idea.

Cody got totally screwed by the temptation. After Megan quit they should have called off the eviction for that week. Making him nominate 5 people, a third of the cast, was ridiculous and pretty much set him up for failure for the rest of the season. If Megan had quit when Paul was HoH, guaranteed they would have just cancelled the eviction for that week and not put Paul in the position to nominate a third of the cast.

The only way for them to get Paul out is during the double eviction, that way production doesn't have time to do anything about it.

Listen, I like Paul, I think he should have won last year hands down, he didn't because production wanted Nicole to win, plain and simple, but 2 wrongs don't make a right. Production needs to stay out of it and just let people play like they did in the earlier seasons when this show was really good. Stop bringing back returnees and giving them the world to make sure they win.

Did Cody get screwed by getting the Battle Back or Jessica's Halting Hex?

Did Cody get screwed by getting the Battle Back or Jessica's Halting Hex?

The Battle Back was happening whether Cody was evicted or not. As far as the Halting Hex it's starting to look like Jess may not use it for Cody if she gets off the block.

Like I said Cody was screwed and has been set up for failure because of that temptation. Doesn't matter that he's back in the game, he will never win because of what happened with that first temptation and having to put up a third of the house. I want to point out I would be saying this about anyone of the houseguests if this happened to them, it just happened to be Cody, but we all know it never would have been Paul put in that situation.

Again, I like Paul, I just don't like what production is doing. There are people that count the number of DR's the houseguests get let's all guess who is in first by a lot.

I don't think that changes things. It was a gift from God as the entire thing was rigged in favor of him.

And again, Cody did this all to himself. Nominating Paul, no matter how cute he thought it was, was a HUGE strategic blunder. Nobody in his alliance wanted him to do that. And it came back to bite him.

I'll believe that when I see it.

I don't think the Battle Back was rigged in his favor at all. Those comps were predetermined before they even knew who would be in the Battle Back. Any one of them could have won, it was a matter of patience, Cody happened to have the most patience. In the second challenge Cameron was winning 7 - 4, he totally choked. I'm assuming he got over anxious when he realized that he was actually beating Cody.

Putting Paul up was a good move, Cody had no clue Paul had the temptation. How could he know if Paul never said anything. Any one in there not gunning for Paul, is not a game player. I don't know how you can be in that house and not realize Paul needs to go. It seems only Cody and Jess realize that, pretty sad.

I do agree with you that Jess will most likely use the hex on Cody even though they are hinting she may not if she comes off the block.

I think it would be a good move to take Paul to final 2. I don't think anyone of the other house guests would vote for him to win.

I agree with all of this (except I don't think Cody was necessarily screwed - production seems to be trying to keep him in the game- or, at least, Jessica- to keep the two-sided drama, IMO). :)

Paul didn't get a practice run at the maze runner while Cody did (in the initial round). Sorry, if you don't see that as a rig job, I don't know what to tell ya.

Putting Paul up was a good move, Cody had no clue Paul had the temptation.

It was too early to make that kind of big move. Nobody in Cody's alliance wanted him to do that and the game had just begun. How could they continue to play with a guy that won't even be honest with them two weeks into the season? Yes Paul needed to go but not then and not that way.

Jess said on the live feeds a couple of hours ago that Paul is HOH for the second time and still won't have sent anyone home.

Yes, Cody definitely had an advantage, but Cody just happened to win BB. Cameron could have easily have won, which he was actually winning at one point, and then Cameron would have had the advantage. They were giving the advantage to whoever won BB, it just happened to be Cody. I'm just trying to point out how they are favoring Paul. Did they want Cody to win, of course, but they did nothing to ensure him winning, except the final round to get back into the house, which would have been given to the other 3 had they won. Again, Cody just happened to be the one who won.

As far as putting Paul up as a bad move, it wasn't. Had Paul not had that safety I can pretty much guarantee he would have gone home, why do you think Paul got that safety in the first place. Production knew it would be a smart move to get Paul out right away so they had to make sure that wouldn't happen.

I agree with the poster above about Kevin. He is just laying back and letting everyone fight it out. Whether he is doing it on purpose or just doesn't' know what he's doing, it's working lol.

Agree to disagree. It's so unfair to claim that production is carrying Paul while not acknowledging that they're essentially doing the same thing for Cody (via the rigged battle back and the halting hex that was given to Jess). I would love to see the official vote tally that week that Jess was somehow America's favorite.

Again, I've already posted this but for some reason you're not addressing the point. His alliance didn't want Paul up and perhaps more importantly, Cody kept them all in the dark. He did that all wrong and it blew up in his face. Even if Paul wouldn't have had the protection, his alliance still would have been pissed at Cody and I'm not even sure Paul would have gone home. Nobody wanted Paul nominated except for Cody.
