Does anyone know if the standard size Mr. Potato Head box (the one you can fill for $18-$19) is the only size box available? I want to get my DS5 a HUGE Disney Collection of parts at Once Upon A Toy while we're there. I guess I could buy more than one box full (I won't likely be buying the head anyway). I was just wondering if there was anything else BIGGER out there to fill? (if so, do you know what the cost would be?) :rolleyes1 Thanks...

If I'm not mistaken, when we were there in September, at the Toy store at DTD, there was an option to fill a "Case" for $49. I didn't look at it, but I do know it was bigger than the box. HTH!

At Once Upon A Toy they have a Collector's Case that is shaped like the Potato Head. It has parts on it that you can take off as well. It is like $50 ( i think!) It was a great way to get a ton of stuff. The plastic bends a little bit so you can really jam it in there. You want to make sure to put the little bitty parts in first so it fills up the feet. The CM at the register complimented my husband on his "stuffing" abilities. We were there for quite a while :thumbsup2 They will also let you buy parts for $2 a part if you get a box and can't fit like one thing in. We bought a Mary Poppins umbrella that way because it made no sense to waste the space for the big part. Have fun! We did!
:yay:

Wish we knew about the case. We ended up buying three of the $19 boxes and still didn't get everything we wanted. Although the boxes were probably easier to pack than the case would have been.

Guess we just have to go back next year to get more pieces parts.

Oh wait we already booked with free dining; better start making a list of needed parts, we only have 11 months.

By the way does anyone know if there is a comprehensive list of what parts are offered and what has been available in the past? Now that would be an interesting web page.

Case it is then! Thanks everyone! I think there may still be some parts (Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin vehicle and Dumbo ride vehicle) that I may need to purchase over and above, but I think the case for $49-$50 will suit my need just fine. Can't wait, it should be a lot of fun cramming things inside!:woohoo:

I did see one like that posted here on the boards a few weeks ago. Maybe someone here has a link? If I can find it again, I'll post it. It was really cool. Made me want to start collecting parts on our next trip :yay:

I saw the big box last week for $46 I believe. Its pretty big compared to the smaller one.

The store sells all sorts of stuff (toys, movies, cds, electronics, etc)-and not just Disney items. For girls they have My Pretty Pony parts.

Does anyone have an idea of how much the my little pony sets are that you can fill up in your own? Also, anyone have an idea what some of the things are that you can choose? Thanks

anyone know if they have bigger cases for my little pony stuff?? :confused3

The pony stuff is essentially the same box as the potato head one ( the smaller one) I think we paid $19 for the box. I know we got pieces for Jasmine, Belle, Minnie, Snow White, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and then some random things like mouse ears for the pony. We also got a mirror that says Disney Princess and there were some accessories for each set too. Jasmine had a little genie lamp. Snow White has a little picnic basket. Minnie had ears and a bow. Belle had a little tiny chip and Mrs. Potts. It was much easier to jam pony things in that box though. I got enough stuff to bring home a set of everything for my girls and a set for my neice. Plus a mirror and some of the mouse ears so the ponies could have a parade ( per DD4) :rotfl:
There were also mouse shaped hair bows and a bed. I think there was a popcorn cart too. It was sort of tricky to find all the different pieces though. It took me forever to find four shoes for Cinderella! I don't think there was a bigger box available but you really can get quite a bit in there. Can you tell where we spent most of our money?;)

the inlaws brought the girls a box of stuff back ALONG time ago (back when they still acknowledged us!) when we were there in the summer the girls had gotten out of the MLP kick.. now they are back into it.. I was hoping I could get one HUGE box instead of 2 (or 3 yes my son likes the ponies too!) little ones.. no fighting over pieces ect ect ect

My sister and I shopped at Once Upon a Toy on Saturday September 29th and we did both a Potato Head box and a My Little Pony box for Christmas gifts. We fit every piece we could find into the MLP box (most of the pieces are little pieces of clothing for the ponies). For the Mr Potato Head box we needed to choose what we wanted very carefully as the pieces are much bigger and can not be smooshed down like the pony pieces.

My 13 year old son had fun playing with the Make Your Own LightSabre pieces but decided that he didn't want to spend that much money to purchase one.

Hi! :goodvibes During our September trip we bought 2 boxes and a larger plastic Mr. Potato Head shaped holder, complete with removeable face parts. The boxes were $19.00, the "big guy" was $46.95. My son and his father packed the boxes, they managed to get quite a lot in. I packed (carefully and by layering) the plastic potato and got ALOT of parts. The pairs of feet and larger hats are a problem, they take so much room! We did not buy the bodies, we bought those at a Florida Super Walmart for $8.99, that way we had them but they did not take up our packable space whn purchasing! They are so much fun... great souveniers that can actually be played with and/or displayed! :thumbsup2
