I tried searching for it already, so please don't be angry with me if it's already out there... but I am dying for the recipe for the potato leek soup that they serve at Biergarten. Does anyone have it?

this is to funny......I was just looking for this too.....I love this soup ...almost as much as the cheddar cheese soup at Le Cellier.....

POTATO LEEK SOUP
Biergarten Restaurant, Epcot Walt Disney World
Serves: 8 people

3 cups Potatoes (peeled and diced)
1 cup Onions (peeled and diced)
1 cup Leek (cleaned and diced)
5 cups Chicken Stock 1 cup Heavy Cream
2 tsp Butter
Salt, to taste.
White ground Pepper, to taste
¼ cup Chives, chopped for garnish

Sauté the onions and leeks with the butter in a medium size pot. Then add the diced potatoes and cover with chicken stock. Cook until the potatoes are soft. Use hand blender and blend the soup till smooth, being careful as it will be hot. Stir in the heavy cream. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Just before serving garnish with the chopped chives and sautéed sliced leeks.

Thank you so much! I had no idea there was a recipe board... how I hadn't run across it is beyond me, I spend a lot of time on here. :rotfl:

The receipe sounds pretty easy, I'm excited to try it.

That recipe is a bit different than the one Disney e-mailed me. Here is the one I have...which is delicious by the way!:

1 lb. potatoes, peeled & diced
1/2 medium onion, peeled & diced
1/2 leek, cleaned & dices
4 c chicken stock
2 c heavy cream
2 tsp butter
salt to taste
ground white pepper to taste

Sautee the onions and leeks in the butter in a medium sized stock pot. Add the potatoes and cover with the chicken stock.Cook until the potatoes are soft, add the cream and mix well.Season with salt and pepper. Just before serving garnish with chopped chives.

This came directly from Theresa Joiner who works in the food and beverage support area at WDW. It is fantastic and super easy!!!

Well I might have to try them both and have a taste test! :rotfl2: I have to say, that was one of the best soups I had ever had and made my great meal at Biergarten that much better!

Did you try them both? Please tell me which one tastes like the one from biergarten !

It's been a while, but I think the second recipe tasted slightly closer to what was at Biergarten
