How is the Biergarten restaurant for vegetarians? Are there lots of options?

Thanks,
Mary

I'm not a big meat eater, but my DH loves Biergarten. They have a bunch of really yummy veg-friendly options: spaetzle (German baked mac & cheese), warm potato salad, potato & leek soup, smothered cabbages, potato dumplings, different salads, homemade breads, & REALLY tasty desserts. I think you'll be pleased with what you can find there.

I went and I was fine. The potato salad typically has meat in it, so watch out for that. Soups are likely not vegetarian (chicken stock and the like). The spatzle (dumplings) were good, and I understand they have cheese on them now, which they didn't when I was there. I'm sure someone can go over the buffet with you in case you have any questions; they do change things up now and then, so something that used to be vegetarian may not be now and vice versa.

But there's plenty of food you can fill up on. There were more cold dishes than hot that I could eat. It's not as wide a variety as Boma, but it's still good. :thumbsup2
