Hey guys,
I am really interested in eating at Beirgarten on my upcoming trip but I'm a little unsure of the food. I know nothing about German food and am just curious if anyone has pictures or insight they could share with me...I tried googling it but I would rather have some personal opinions Thanks!

We ate there last Thanksgiving week. It was very good & considering the amount of time some of our other dinners took (over 3 hours at Jiko at AKL) we liked how much quicker the meal was. The entertainment was great, lots of people dancing along. The most German items are probably the spatzle ( a kind of pasta forced thru a sieve into boiling water, the various sausages, & the sauerbraten. The pork was like a pork tenderloin, the sauces were good & you serve yourself separately. The desserts were various pastries, quite good. I can't remember all the items, but all 5 of us really enjoyed the meal. Check the menu on allearsnet.com. We also tried the wine flight & the beer flight.

We love this place, we havent been for a few years so we made reservations for our trip this coming weekend. If memory serves they have salads, cold meats and sausages, lots of pretzel and rye breads, brats, kraut, roasted chicken, snitzel, spatzel, soup, veggies and potatoes, apple strudel, german chocolate cake and a few other items.

I love this place, and have to come back there every year. Schnitzel, sauerbraten, and giant beers - what's not to love? I like the seating arrangements, although some people may not. You will be seated with strangers at your table, but to me, that is part of the fun, especially after i get a beer or two in me =)

Hi
My DH always wanted to go here. So we're trying it in Dec. But I'm a vegetarian and won't eat all that meat. Have any vegetarians eaten there recently and what did you have? Also was it good? Thanks

I was fine; we ate there last May. A couple of the cold salads have meat in them (like the potato salad), but most of them were veggie. With the hot items, there's much less to choose from, but the spaetzle and roasted potatoes were good; the pretzel bread is very tasty, too. The desserts are great, and there's a nice adult beverage menu with great beers and mixed drinks. I think it's a perfect place to go on a hot day; the food is very good, and the nighttime atmosphere helps cool you off.

Guten tag ... The Biergarten is one of my family's favorites. There are a variety of items on the buffet. My DH, who is a very picky eater, is able to fill his plate. In response to disnut, although I am not a vegetarian, I don't always like the heaviness of meat especially if we are there for lunch and I never have a problem. Hope this helps!

It is one of bf and my favorite Disney Restaurants. Best to go at dinner around 6:30 or 7 when they have their live entertainment. I was nervous about the group seating as mentioned by a PP but we had a good group that we were seated with so it wasn't bad at all. It is a heavier meal so just let your food settle before going on any rides.

I don't notice the food after a couple of schooners of hefeweizen.

We got last minute ADR's for Biergarten for lunch and loved it. They had the band playing during lunch and we enjoyed the food and entertainment. The buffet had great salads, and meats, plus some mac and cheese and great desserts!

DH and I got a beer flight, 5 small glasses of the different beers available. It was fun.

Hope you have a great trip!

I know when I was there in sept the sign stating when the entertainment would be was only showing dinner times. Maybe they had a different sign for lunch times.

The Biergarden is a DNM (DNM = Do Not Miss)!

The Biergarden is a first day tradition with our family as we go there for lunch without fail. It just would not be a visit to WDW without lunch at the Biergarden.

Most of the food is very good but make sure that you have the apple strudel with the vanilla sauce for desert. Yummy!

German veggie checking in. I avoided Biergarten for 13 years before visiting, and am pleased to say that I wish I had gone sooner.

I am not a big fan of Americanized German food, and while some of the food is definitely Americanized, some is authentic. I found a lot to eat which was veggie food.

The only reason we've missed this place is the fear of a Sauerkrout smell. Is there an odor? I love it, but my kids gag :scared:

And I did not smell it at all! I ignore it at all times and I don't remember seeing it but DH says it was there!

It was a wonderful meal and much better than Boma and all its hype!!!! (Sorry my opinion!)

I'll have to put in our list of to-do's. I'm german and love the food. For dinner tonight, we had corn beef and cabbage (not german but still stinky!) and my kids sat outside for hours to get away from the odor :rotfl: You should see them when I make by beloved sausage and kraut casserole.:lmao:

This is my favorite restaurant in all of Disney. We usually get two adrs for it when we go. There is enough of a variety to satisfy everyone. Auf Wiedersehen

My family loves it here. The hot is good, hot, and plentiful. I always leave stuffed. Can't wait to go back in Sept. We love the pretzel bread.
The entertainment is fun for everyone. We are German and grew up eating this kind of food though.

I didn't notice it, but as soon as we walked in, DW said it smelled like vinegar. We all enjoyed our meal though.
