We had a bad experience at Biergarten about 10 years ago and haven’t been back. The food just didn’t hit with us that night and our table mates were horribly rude. Service wasn’t great good either. Is it worth another try? Thinking about it for Candlelight Processional dinner package in December. Thanks!

I quite enjoy the Biergarten and usually go once every trip. Service for me has always been good and as I usually go solo, I have not had to sit with anyone else. Key to that I suppose is that I go early at 5:00 PM or before.

We have gone twice in the past 5 years (most recently in July 2024) and we enjoyed both experiences. We were a party of 4 both times and did not have to sit with anyone else. IIRC, most of the tables are close but not shared- they are independent tables. The exception may have been the ones on the floor closer to the stage. We were in the 2nd level both times. We had a seating around 5:30-6:00, so on the early side of dinner service.

This past summer, we decided to try Via Napoli after a 10 year hiatus due to a poor experience. It was a VERY different experience, and we were glad we gave it another try. My advice would be to give it a try and see. HOWEVER, I don't believe the food is much different now than it would have been then, so maybe look over the menu and make sure there are enough items that everyone in your party will eat? The service and seating can (and should) be improved, but if the menu still isn't your thing, then I'd skip it.

We went in January for the first time and loved it. We were a party of 2 seated at a 4 top. We were next to another 4 top but there was space between our tables. We will definitely go again.

Our family really likes Biergarten…. but we all enjoy German food and I like beer… the entertainment is also a lot of fun.

But… it will not be everyone’s vibe.

If you like the food then it's for sure worth it. Go there at least once a year...enjoy the buffet...beer...and cozy old German village vibe. Totally worth another try...again assuming the food is something that you would enjoy.

Do you mean you weren’t in the mood for German food that night?
Or were there other issues like it tasted off, or food was not hot enough, or you really just didn’t enjoy many of the dishes?

If you’re kind of meh about the food they serve there in general, then I wouldn’t go back.

We love it. But we really like German food. Love the variety of items in that theme. We just ate there again in January. I wish they still sat you with strangers. We love it. Plus I can get the amazing grapefruit beer.

I just ate there Friday as part of garden rocks. Maybe it was because it was 230 pm and they weren’t super busy. I didn’t find the food to be that great. They also changed their dessert options last year. Wasn’t super impressed. I have eaten there for years even when it was shared tables . You get separate tables now but they are super close so you can interact with your neighbors if you want.

We use to go every year. The service was always great did not mind being with others although that was not always the case as we had large enough groups a few times. We stopped going sometime around COVID as the food was not that great. We went again 2 years ago and the food again was not that great again. That does not mean we will not go back but less frequently by far... I will note it is not that the food was bad just changed from years back and we would rather go other places but we do miss the vibe and we always nothing less than great service never had bad table mates either although they do seem to have at least empty seats between groups now.
