We are going to Disneyland in the fall November 23-Dec 3. I have a 6 year old girl that I plan on taking to the Boutique in the park. I plan on getting the top of the line package. I'd love to hear from anyone that's done this for their child and how you'd rate the experience.

I also noticed that they said it's starting price for that package. What would cause the package to go up for the high-end package? Anyone know?

And one more question, I have an 8 year old boy that I thought would be fun to get the knight's package for him. It also had a "starting price". Anyone have experience with boys for this one and what it all entails?

Thanks so much for any help!

Are you going to Disneyland or Disneyworld? You are on the Disneyworld board, so if it is Disneyland as you said in your post, you might want to post on the Disneyland board to get more Disneyland specifics. We have done it more than once with DD at WDW. She has always loved it. They really do make the girls feel special. She is not one that typically likes her hair being done either, but she never complained at BBB. I think she was 3 the year she got the princess bun and although she did not complain while they were doing it, it was really tight and a few hours after, she was begging me to take it down. So, if your DD has a really sensitive head, know that the hairstyle may not last that long (some girls leave them in for days-- my DD always wanted it out and everything washed out of her hair before bed). What causes the packages to go up is what accessories you add. They have shoes, wands, sometimes purses and gloves, and one winter they had really cute caplets. I think the wand and crown are typically included in the castle package, but shoes, gloves, purses, etc would be extra.

If you are talking about Disneyland, not Disneyworld, I think with the Castle package, the girls also get taken directly to meet the princesses at Fantasy Faire (this does not happen at WDW). Also, if you are talking Disneyland, you might want to look into Anna & Elsa's Boutique at DTD as an alternative. The hairstyles there are cuter than the BBB and it is cheaper. We have not done BBB at DL, but we have done the A&E boutique (which technically was Studio 360 in the process of turning into A&E's boutique when DD did it) and DD really enjoyed it. It is not quite the total immersive experience as BBB, but DD did really enjoy it there.

Yes, I was talking about DLR. I am brand new to this site so I guess I thought all the boards were inclusive, whoops! Thanks for letting me know!

And thank you very much for your information. It helps :) I'll copy and paste this and make a new thread in the DLR board. :flower:

Click on the "Disney Trip Planning Forums" tab above, and then scan down until you see Disneyland (California) and click on that. That will be the Disneyland forum. You will get lots of help on Disneyland there!
