I have reservations for my soon to be 4 year old DD and a few friends at the BBB next week. Any tips, hints, or things you wish you knew before you went? TIA!

Wish I had brought our own shoes. Both times we have been, they have been out of one of my daughters shoe size in the princess she wanted.

However, it is a great experience and they loved it!

Another tip, check around the side bridge of the castle for the Fairy Godmother. Great photo op.

The shoes HURT my kid's feet too.. she wore her sandals :)

Otherwise they work like a well oiled machine and I just sat back and enjoyed :)

Seriously considering this for next week too. I'd love to hear how this was for more folks?

You buy the dress on top of the package, right?

And did someone say somewhere Rapunzel IS an option now?

does anyone have the latest prices and what princess are available to purchase. Also do you know if the princess costume come in a 6x?

thanks everyone

We are doing this next week and I am soooo excited! We are two days away and the kids still have no idea :cool1:

Now we just need to feel better. 3 out of the 4 of us are sick

My biggest tip is to NOT let your daughter see what happens when other little girls get to see themselves in the mirror for the first time. I was able to block my daughter's view (intentionally) of this (the chairs are REALLY close together) and our Fairy Godmother in Training soon figured out what I was doing and ended up helping me--my daughter has looong hair so it took awhile to do her hair.

Anyhow, it was fabulous to have her see the birdies pull her curtain aside and experience the magic for herself on her own big reveal rather than seeing it happen five other times for other little girls first.

Take lots of photos. We went all out in October. We had my DD makeover a couple of hours prior to the Halloween Party. We did the picture package. They allowed me to take my own photos even in the photo room. My biggest complaint was the fact that, at least for our session, THEY picked the photos they had printed. I did not realize I wouldn't be able to pick them myself. We also purchased the photopass CD that trip, so we got all of them on the CD, but, at least one of the poses they printed was not my favorite.

My daughter just barely turned 3, do you recommend I wait until she is a little older to do this? She loves her princess dresses, but I want her to truly enjoy the expenience. Any opinions?

O.K. there is clearly much more magic to this than I thought. Now I'm getting really excited. We will be there next Friday!! :cheer2:

There is ALOT of magic!!!! Make sure you looke down at the floor outside the Carriage Room, it is really neat! We also blocked out DD who had turned 5 from the views. She has now turned 6 and wants to go again we we return next month....but I told her no...we are going on a cruise after the DL trip. Just so you know, her hair will stay put for a very long time, and bring your own sticky hair stuff for touch-ups, and even spray glitter for hair. We were there for 9 days, and had it done on the 3 day....lasted the rest of the stay~even with naps and sleeping at night. We were down there last year during the earthquake and her leg was in a cast!

DD has shorter hair. Cute bob above the shoulders. What do they do with that? Not that it matters one bit. She will love it so much.

We were there early Aug, first appt of the day, and there was nobody there. DD had her own Belle dress, we just bought the accessories (purse, bloves, wand/scepter). She had her Keens for walking (comfort over look, for us :goodvibes). She wanted the Princess do (with the tiara). She picked out the red ring (it was large enough it could go over her gloved finger). We got the photo package too.

So my tips:
1. Go early
2. Decide ahead of time what you want to get. I told my DD she could pick out 2 things for me to buy, and no shoes. We went by the day before the appt, and looked at stuff. Unless you decide to get everything of course. We also looked at the different style options ahead of time.

For short hair, I think there are hair extensions you can get. I tried to get DD to get that, but she knew what she wanted.

Have fun! DD loved the experience and we'd do it again in a heartbeat.

My girls have very short & fine hair. They only put up the top portion of their hair and left the rest at the back. I thought it looked a little off (reminded me of the lovely mullet :)) but both girls felt beautiful and didn't care so I kept my mouth shut. :rolleyes1

Here is them after their makeovers ready to watch the parade...

Ha! Good to know specialks. I will prepare myself to LOVE the mullet! Thanks for the pics!

Thanks all, we have appointments, as early as we could get, and I think I would recommend that. The # is 714-781-STYLE (7895)
