I learned from a friend that if enough of us write letters to Disney Corporate this policy might well be reviewed. One of two things we could ask for as either that Disney build another BBB and make it for all ages so that kids have 3 and adults have 1 to use. Or that Disney put a Studio 365 in Lake Buena Vista.
My letter was based on a format from my friend.
Dear Sirs/Madams:
I first visited WDW in 2008. I fell in love there both with the magic and with my Princess. It is the magic I wish to discuss.
My Princess is 36 and at the time was 31. She wanted to have a princess makeover and become little again. I wanted to meet Pooh and to become a Lost Boy or a Pirate.
It was through the magic of Bippity Boppity Boutique that my princess was transformed. We did it on our second visit as well. Not only that but because the dresses are not meant for older princesses, we purchased an adult sized dress from a Disney Site and purchased a fairly expensive and quite nice bejeweled tiara and wand that were delivered to our room. We incorporated these into the experience.
Now we are informed of age restrictions that have been put in place and we disagree with these. The issue is this. When one enters the park and the fairie dust hits it does not just hit biological children. It hits everyone and we all become children again. We all get to experience the magic. That being said the little girls from age 0 to infinity and beyond want to be princesses. The boys want to be princes or Lost Boys or Pirates. Some girls want to be pirates too.
Now we were informed that there is an all ages pirate package. This is nice but not every girl wants to be turned into a buxom pirate wench. Many wish to become princesses. Furthermore, the salons that exist have been tried by me and mine. They do a fair job of making one ready for a prom or a wedding. But it lacks the Je ne sais quoi of the Bippity Boppity Boutique. That is very special place and it has very special effect on the little girls of all ages.
I understand that there is a crush pf bio-kids wanting to do this. If you would consider building a third BBB this might help. Leave the original at the castle and the one in downtown Disney as age restricted. Make the third one all ages. That way more children are accommodated and adults have a chance to enjoy as well.
The other possibility is to bring Studio 365 to Downtown Disney. This Studio has an all ages event similar to BBB and it would also be pleasing to all ages of children.
In short please remember that Disney is the most magical place on earth and that magic exists for everyone not just children between ages of 3-12.
So if enough people write letters to this effect we can change the policy I bet. I am also creating a petition online to help in this effort.
My princess and all princesses must unite, think happy thoughts, clap their hands and say I do believe in faeries.
Thank you for your time and have a magical day.
