Bibbidi Bobbidi Botique--how much??

Honestly doing BBB was the BEST memory that we have from our last trip...and I would do it again in a heart beat! The dresses are beautiful and great quality. We didn't do the big package because I have the Disney Visa and AAA discount, so we got the 10% off and it worked out to be a better deal that way.

There were two girls in line ahead of us at the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor (I can't shorten it to the acronym, rofl), and the two moms were talking about how much it was for their kids, who looked to be about the same age as my daughters.

First girl with red belle dress was 320 dollars. Second girl in green I think Ariel dress was 280. My husband about fell over when he overheard them talking about it.

Seriously, that was more than I spent on my senior prom dress and hair/makeup!

I asked my girls what they thought about it, younger one said "looks itchy" and the older one said "I'd rather have my face painted." Bless my practical, budget-minded kids!:wizard:

Part of me is really grossed out by the outrageousness of it; part of me figures it took at least 5 people working on those two kids that were employed and that's a good thing...

Somebody didn't know what they were talking about or they bought alot of extra stuff or were just trying to be like I spent the most:laughing: . I didn't even pay that much when dd did the castle package w/ cindy's wedding dress. The package price is 179.99

broken down~
Crown Package 49.95
Dress 65.00
Shoes 18.50
Wand 12.50
Crown 14.50
Photos 20.00

Note~ I am positive about the price of the dress and the crown package but the price of the shoes, wand, crown, and photos. The price of the dress is based on the regular princess and not the deluxe princess dress.

Deluxe dresses include~ cindy's wedding dress, ariels wedding dress, belles red dress, and minnies blue dress. The price for these dresses is 90.00 which is a 25.00 price increase. When we did the castle package we paid between 215 and 230 w/ tax.

Oh yeah, these two ladies were definitely playing one upmanship (one upwomanship?) on each other. They both had a long, detailed list of how much they spent and how fabulous it was.

Really, I ws simultaneously fascinated and wigged out, because the kids themselves looked somewhat bored with all the dolling up, and what I really think is the the MOMS wanted to be all bibbity bobbity boo'ed up, and this was as close as they could get.

And I don't mean this in a mean way, if I could get away with walking around Disney dressed up as Sleeping Beauty I'd totally be rockin' that look all the darn day.

I'm just a little bowled over at how much they spent on one kid for one day.

Really, I can't talk, I've been to Disney 44 times, most of the PTA knows me as "That Crazy Disney Woman Who's House Is Falling Apart Because She Spends It All At Disney..."

The cool dude package is actually only for the boys...we just got back from Disney last week and they won't let girls have it done..and also the price has gone down from $10 to $7.50...for once something in Disney has gone down....we used the one at Downtown Disney and it was wonderful.....

:rotfl: That sounds like me except its not the PTA and its my car. I still have some damage on my car from hurricane katrina that I haven't repaired. Its not major and I wasn't going to claim it on my insurance the main thing is my side mirror a tree limb fell and knocked it off.
