BG eligibility question

Just confirming that I understand what our BG opportunities are. We have park hoppers.

DL start day - 7 ROTR, 12 either ROTR (if we didn't get it at 7) or WS
DCA start day - 7 WS, 12 either WS (if we didn't get it at 7) or ROTR

If we get the 7:00 a.m. BG, are we still eligible to try for a 12:00 BG for the ride in the other park?

Thanks!

Yes. You are allowed to do both in one day. I’ve done it twice now with a dca/web slingers start. The main thing is you have to be scanned in for your first boarding group before the noon drop.

Yes, with one caveat. You can get both in one day (with a hopper), as long as your first one is redeemed by noon.

We also got both in one day with ROTR first then WS so definitely possible assuming your 7am BG has already been called/redeemed. Hoping we can repeat that on our trip in a couple weeks. Good luck!

I’ve been playing around with the app and testing joining boarding groups. If you get the screen where you can click onto your tickets/people to join, does that mean you’ll get a boarding group or no? I always get “boarding closed” in the next screen but I don’t know if that because I don’t have reservations for that day or if I missed it.

No the party screen is not a confirmation of a boarding group. You need to get to the next screen to see if you were selected or if the boarding groups filled up.

We were so annoyed on Sunday as our Rose group got called at 12:01…so we missed being able to try for Web Slingers. The CM at Rise would not let us board early and incorrectly said we could try for WS. Guest Services told us too bad.
It is a huge bummer to finally get a BG and then have it not be called before noon.

Thank you.
When I get to the “select your group” screen, I quickly hit “select all”, but apparently if you have tickets and reservations for the day you are actually going, the correct ones will be automatically selected. Then you hit join again. If the next screen is asking if your party is all here (because it can’t find reservations when you’re just practicing) then I call that a win. It would have put you in a boarding group if your reservations had been valid. That’s as far as you can go while practicing. In the last 3 days, I’ve been successful practicing at both the 7 ROTR and the noon WS drop. Encouraging, since I’ll be there next Wednesday! Keep trying!
