Bey Blades? Microcruisers?

All right, help this idiot mom out. What are bey blades and microcruisers? I'm looking at websites, trying to get perfect gift for DS. These two things are on his wish list. Is there some GUY out there who knows what these toys are about and are they worth it?

I understand the pink aisle so much better.

Beyblades are Japanese-anime inspired battle tops. I think there's a series on ABC-Family

I think you need a couple of top sets with launchers and an arena to start playing with. You kinda build your top and battle it with someone else's to see who wins. Looks like fun to me, but I've never tried it.

Not sure about Microcruisers, but Ric is right about Beyblades. My boys have 6 of them and a Beystadium. We have bought them at TRU and Wal-Mart so you might want to check there!

Are micro-cruisers those little mini radio-control cars? Kind of like Zip Zaps? Not sure, but I think I read this somewhere.
