I got an email from "ebay" tonight telling me i've been outbid on a girls dress, looked VERY real but i am NOT bidding on anything on ebay so i knew it had to be fake. I forwarded it onto spoof@ebay.com. This is a new one on me, never rec'd a fake email like this. I usually get the ones about updating your info, etc. I am waiting for confirmation from ebay that it is spoof, but it HAS to be, like i said, i am not bidding on anything. I have a feeling if you click on any of the links, it will take you to your sign in screen and the originator of the email will get your ID/password. I cut and pasted the item no. into ebay search and nothing came up. In my newbie days, i would have definitely said wait a minute, and just clicked on the blue link. Just wanted to pass this on in case anyone else is targeted!!
