Which was not cooking the books either. It was negligence. There are too many audits taking place for "cooking the books" to be real, IMOOutside of the team that got fired about underestimating initial maintenance fees in 2011, do you have any other examples?
The lock off premium being tried twice was not an accident or ignorance.
Or cooking the books. It might not have been in members best interests....or even complying with FL timeshares laws. But it wasn't cooking the books. The lock off premium being tried twice was not an accident or ignorance.
Well, the two level hot tub is still down, and probably will be for the duration of your stay. Apparently they’re checking all the hardware shops on the island for the replacement part they need. We're heading to Aulani tomorrow (yay!) I'll be a little disappointed if the lazy river isn't warm enough for me, but I"m not going to let it ruin my vacation.
I did want to add though to the discussion regarding Disney not spending money to fix things. I work in food manufacturing. There still are huge supply chain issues going on that are affecting almost every company. There is an incredible shortage of replacement parts, things like motors, pumps, etc., where lead times are ridiculous. We're talking 6-8 months for things you used to be able to get in a week or two. So it may not be Disney not wanting to spend the money - they just can't get replacement parts to fix things. I don't know for sure, but I just wanted to throw it out there.
I agree their engineering department should have field spares of everything they need.Well, the two level hot tub is still down, and probably will be for the duration of your stay. Apparently they’re checking all the hardware shops on the island for the replacement part they need.
My issue, though, is that this resort is not some small mom and pop operation. It should be within the capabilities of a multibillion dollar corporation to have whatever part they need overnighted from the mainland. If Bob Iger were coming this weekend to watch American Idol, I bet you they’d get it fixed.
They really should. The resort is pretty much immaculate, which makes me think it’s less cheapness than incompetence.I agree their engineering department should have field spares of everything they need.
Aulani management if your reading this I would be more than happy to fly you whatever you need all I ask is for the grand villa for a couple nights.

I was telling Paul about that a few posts ago. Seemed like an easy fix to meProbably down to replace the missing titles from the 18+ hot tub.
We were there three weeks ago and observed many missing titles.
Haha same thing I told my wife when we were in the lower tub one night and we saw itI think so too but will require the hot tub to shut down for about 24 hours.
I think it’s down to fix the heating issue. No? Is it drained to replace tile?Probably down to replace the missing titles from the 18+ hot tub.

Is there a place I can read more about this. I’ve never heard about it - but I only started to care about DVC when I bought in!The lock off premium being tried twice was not an accident or ignorance.

Maybe it’s like Monsters Inc and the pool is actually heated by guest complaints!!It's definitely warming up; we noticed this too. Seems like people need to keep pressuring the hotel to keep it warm.
It’s still very nice…and they just got the adult hot tubs working again.Any updates on the pool temperatures? We are head there in a little over a week. I’m trying to decide if I should buy a wetsuit for my 3 year old who can’t do cold pools. Seems crazy to bring a wetsuit to Hawaii, but we are going for the pools.
I never thought to do that, but I certainly will now.If I’m ever at a resort, Disney or otherwise, who charges a resort fee and then some of the amenities are not available, I do ask for a partial refund of that fee. And I usually get it.
But, how would that work with DVC? We’re not charged a resort fee, or, more accurately, it’s just included in our points.I never thought to do that, but I certainly will now.
