For those of you who have been to both, where's the better "pub" experience... Rose And Crown Epcot or Raglan's Road DD?

Comment on atmosphere, beer selection and food please... :thumbsup2

Definitely Rose+Crown. Raglan Road is no more than a restaurant, really, and doesn't compare to the other pubs I've been to.

The atmosphere at R+C is of a bar, the beer selection is mostly similar, but you really don't find much more at Raglan - a different cider, a bland American hefe, Fosters. The food is better at R+C as well, and cheaper to boot.

Must be more folks who have done both???
We went to R&C a few years ago, but have yet to try Raglan Road. So obviously I'm not going to be of much help!!!

Depends on what you are looking for. Atmosphere I like Raglan. But they are all local waiters and tenders. So if you want to hear the sounds of the english and irish then RC is the place to go. If you are wanting a bar to sit back relax and have some good convo then by far I would choose Raglan. If I had to put a star rating on the 2 I would give RC a 3 star with Raglan a 4.5 star. But you pay big for the difference. Raglan is not cheap. I have rarely gone in there and not had a $50 tab for 2 ppl and still be thirsty and hungry. But then again I have never sat in RC and drank more than a beer or a drink and headed back into the park. If you have any more questions I will try to do my best in answering them. I have been to Raglan 5 times now.

Rose and Crown has more of the cramped, dank, gritty English pub thing going on, and I go there when I want to feel like I'm back in England. But Raglan's food is so much better and the whole place is just so lovely... I can't help but prefer it.

I have had drinks at both places, but not food in the pubs. I have had a meal in the RC dining room.

As for pub atmosphere. RC is darker and smaller. RC has very few tables, and the bar is a stand-up bar, without bar stools. They do have a piano player at times. RR is a lot larger, brighter. There are a lot of tables, as well as barstools. There is nightly entertainment, though the evening I was there I would not consider it 'Irish Pub Music.' It was more like covers of every popular British/Irish/Scottish/Welsch singers out there. They are both fun, but nether are a real English or Irish pub experience, especially if you have been to those countries.

Raglan Road, definately has the better beer choices, food and atmosphere.

While the pub side of Rose and Crown is good, and it serves a light menu, Raglan Road blows it away.

The food is far superior to Rose & Crown. I liked the live music and the atmosphere. I can't comment on beer - I only drink occasionally so what do I know. My husband seemed to like it.

Raglan Road is bigger and less crowded, and not at all different to a generic English/Irish pub you might find in any major city. Which isn't to say it's not good, because it is. The food is great and the beer selection is decent.

Rose and Crown is smaller and therefore more crowded (the pub area in particular!) Feels more "hustley and bustley" at peak times. The food is great, the beer selection decent. I don't think you could go wrong at either place, really.

Make sure if you want entertainment at Raglan that you go after 9pm. Cause the Band and the dancers dont start till then.

If you are just stopping in for a Beer, I would say "Rose & Crown" but if you are out for a night it would have to be Raglan Road.
