Wow Beth....you are one seriously busy Mommy! I'm exhausted just reading your post :hug: .

First of all....so glad to hear you are feeling better. And great idea to keep those extra sessions for now! That's the way to take care of YOU :thumbsup2 .

My volunteer motto for this year is....JUST SAY NO (sometimes)! I think I have that big "sucker" stamped on my head. But I am finding my voice and learning to say no to some things. I love to be involved...but sometimes it just gets to be way too much and it's expected all the time!

Very good you showed up to the meeting just in the nick of time! That happened to me once too, I was sick for the first meeting (church committee) so I got elected chair, for three very long years! Learning to say no is a fine art and a good one I must say! Keeping busy is probably very good for you, good job keeping up the extra therapy sessions. In all you didn't let this set back set you back at all. Good job, I am proud of you!


You are one busy lady, I am amazed at how much you do and how well you do it all! You sure keep me motivated, too bad we can't go to the same Weight Watchers meetings!

Hi, Beth! I am finally getting to journals and wanted you to know I am thinking of you! I hope you are having a great weekend and that it is not too busy for you. Wouldnt' it be great if we could get to the end of our weekends feeling accomplished without feeling wiped out?

Kim's characterization really hit the nail on the head, didn't it? We all look forward to the structure that the new school year/fall bring but find ourselves even more busy and scheduled. I hope you'll find that you have some days on your calendar where you have nothing written in and you can sit down with a good book or to watch a great tv program.

Hi all,

I am sorry that I haven't been around much lately. My mom fell and severely sprained her ankle and broke her nose on Friday. I spent Friday cooking. I went to WW, and I had lost 2.6 pounds. I have no idea where that came from. After wi, I went to my parents place with a weeks worth of food. I cleaned their place top to bottom, and did soem extra grocery shopping and laundry for them. I came home this morning, and hit Lifetime for a workout. I am still sick, but my mood has stabilized. I took a shower and laid down for 5 minutes. Yeah right, I woke up 3 hours later. I figure I needed the rest. I need to start thinking about dinner here.:confused3 Nothing really sounds good.

This week I work 4 days. My job partner has jury duty, so I have to work an extra day. At least there are no school functions this week. Ok. I am off.

Oh my goodness, Beth! Your poor Mom! I am so sorry she fell and got hurt. Thank God you live close enough to have taken food over to your parents' house. I am sure they are so grateful.

Good job on getting that nap in. I am glad your body forced you into some rest and it sounds like you'll need it in the coming week. Don't work too hard and be sure to take time for yourself!

Oh, and Congratulations on the loss at WW!! :thumbsup2 You obviously know exactly what you are doing and I am definitely going to be following the advice you shared in my journal about APs. Thank you so much for visiting my journal when I know you are so busy. :hug:

I only have time for a quick post. Today, I walked the dog. I had planned to go to Lifetime, but this thing has moved to my chest. I called my boss, and he called in a script for me. Hopefully the antibiotic will kick whatever this is in the backside. Food last night was dismal. I wanted comfort, so I went with food. Oh well, I am charting it all, and I have 2 flex points left for the week. Today, I am on track with the points. I need to push a bit more on the water though.
B:raspberries, yogurt, crispix. (5pt)
S: Nonfat Latte (4pt)
L: Soup and an apple (8pt)
D: Salad with chicken (7pt) roasted potatoes (4pt).
S Choc. drizzle rice cake and tea. (3pt)
I am ok with my activity points added in there.

I hit the grocery store, and I am working on more laundry. Why is that a neverending job? I also cleaned out my car. I will plan on going to bed by 9PM tonight. I need to get rid of this bronchitis. I do plan on getting up an hour early to go to the gym before work. I figure some treadmill time won't be too much on this old body. After work, DD has double dance classes. I hope to make the journal rounds at lunch tomorrow.

Hi Beth!!!

First of all ((HUGS)) to your Mom. How awful that she fell and got so seriously injured :(.

As for you...I sure hope you get better soon. It sounds like you haven't had a chance to rest much which is probably why it's still hanging on. My cold is better but still hanging on. I've been coughing quite a bit. Gonna' have to visit the doc if it won't go away :(.

Great job on the w/i...you really are doing great with your goals, especially considering all the challenges thrown your way!!! :hug:
 
Beth, I am really sorry about your mom! You are a good daughter indeed to take over the food and clean for them, I know she appreciated it. I am also sorry you are still sick, hope the antibiotics nail this thing. At least school is quiet this week. Take care of yourself and CONGRATULATIONS on losing that 2.6 pounds. Way to go! And what do you mean you don't know where that came from? It came from your hard work and dedication! :yay:

Hi guys,

I am feeling much better, but I certainly haven't been getting up at 430AM to exercise. Ugh, I can feel it. Today I have my gym stuff in the car with me. Kate doesn't have dance tonight, so I am going to workout on my way home from work. Food has been good, but I am feeling sluggish from the lack of exercise. I have been my usual busy self, but I am making a point to get to bed by 930 on worknights. That cuts down on my computer time. We currently have one slot open, and I hope to WISH then. I am thinking of all of you.
