Beth's Journal-Bring It!

Beth your schedule makes me tired, and I've got a pretty busy schedule myself. :) Keep up the good fight my friend, it will pay off in the end.

~Amanda

Sorry Beth things have been so hectic for you. Hopefully things will settle down and you'll be able to concentrate on you again. Take care. :goodvibes

Hi All,

The boards went server too busy on me last nght. They were sooooo slow. Sorry I didn't get to everyone last night.

Wel, we have Pez. I think he needs to be called Spaz. He is a typical puppy. Runs around like crazy until he drops. Last night he did really well, and slept until 6AM. I can't complain. He did nip at Katie, a teething kind of thing. Katie is pretty skittish now. It just is going to tke some time. She did pretty well last night, but is nervous this morning.

No exercise yesterday, but I was OP.

Plan...
Take Katie to school and Pez to the vet.
Pickup Katie and Megan from school for a playdate.
Make dinner.
Go to the y this evening for weights andcardio.

Meal...
B: Eggs and tea.
L: Salad.
D: chicken breast marinated in italian dressing, brocolli, and salad.

I'm off,
Beth

I love puppies! The best thing to give him is an old sock of Won's. Put a knot in it and let him teeth on that.

Your dinner sounds delicious! I'm jealous!

~Amanda

Hi, Beth! I am excited for you that Pez is finally a part of your home. I know life will be crazy for a while with a puppy and all the predictably unpredictable chaos! :) I have to agree with Amanda on both points -- an old sock of Won's for the furbaby to teeth on, and your dinner sounds fabulous! BTW, we found when Cali was a puppy that we really had to work on getting her to understand that the knotted sock was okay to chew on and the puppy toys were okay to chew on, but the other socks and everything else (like the video from our DCL cruise) were NOT okay to chew on!

BTW, maybe having Katie interact with Pez with his chew toys would help her get used to the way he plays. And she will get great pleasure out of getting him to play tug of war, and ultimately, "fetch".

Have a great day, Beth!

Congrats on the new puppy! Hope you guys have fun--so much work but so worth it!

I'm sorry to hear about the work stress--I hope things get better soon.

Hope you have a wonderful day today! :flower:

Congratulations on your new puppy! Puppies are so much fun, but they have sooo much energy! :Pinkbounc

Stay focused on your program Beth! Set a new goal for yourself, even if it is a mini goal. Think about what you want to look like in those WDW photos come Dec! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo You are so awesome once you get in gear (after being sick and all.......) So heres :wizard: for making everything happen for you!!

Hi Beth,

Puppies are so sweet and bring so much happiness to a home. We are on the fence about getting a puppy anytime soon so I will have to live through you!

Thanks for the pm's. Take care.

:Pinkbounc Pez is home!! :Pinkbounc

Pez will learn to keep his teeth to himself and his chew toys, but you're right, it does take time. I'm sure Pez & Katie will be buddies but it may take a few months until they get used to each other.

Sorry that work was so stressful last weekend and caused you to go off plan, but I see you are back in the game now. Beth, you are amazing! I know you probably don't FEEL amazing at times, but your persistence WILL pay off. Hang in there, sweetie!

I hope today is a good one, filled with smiles and laughter. :sunny:

Hi, Beth! I hope last night went well with the (fur)baby in the house. How is Katie adjusting? I hope you have a great day, one that you can look back on this evening with joy.
Take care of you! :)

Hello,

Things are going well with Pez. We did a vet visit. I love our vet. She is aweome with him, and knows her stuff. Pez is pooping outside only, and we've only had 4 accidents with pee. He goes to bed the same time as I do. He is sleeping in his crate without a problem. He needs to go out at 4AM and then gets up between 6-7. No complaints really. Katie has really warmed up to the little guy. He is starting to bond with her as well. He is trying to establish himself above Katie in the pack, but I am holding firm. I am pack leader, and he is my shadow. I didn't make it to the Y yesterday, but I did today. I am walking the little guy, so my steps have increased. I am hoping it is enough to show some loss.
Food today...
B: eggs and tea.
L:2 ham and cheese rolls and an apple wih penut butter.
D: Steak, green beans, and salad.
I've managed to workout, go to the grocery store and Target, nd do all the laundry. Hey, it is even folded.
I will do journals tonight, if the boards cooperate. I need to get started with dinner. I think we're headed to the park after dinner.

Have a good one,
Beth

You're making me want a puppy more and more.......they are so adorable. What a great buddy for Katie once they really bond. Cute memories that is for sure.

Ok, I spoke too soon. He decided he needed to go out every 2 hours last night. I took 2 and won took 2. It would have to be Thursday night when I work Friday night. Oh well, Starbucks here I come.

I am down 1.5 pounds to 201. I am hoping to remake Onederland next week. I need to be op for food and exercise. I shoud be able to make it to the Y at least 4x this coming week.

Plan for the day...
Take Katie to the school, I'll hit the Y then take Pez for another walk. (I want to wer him out for a nap today.)
Finish laundry.
Beta a friend's fan fic.
Nap.
Work 7P-8A.

Meal Plan...
B: MS bar and tea.
L: Salad.
5PM:String cheese and latte.
9PMham/cheese rollups.
1AM: salad and sf jello.
7AM: MS bar and decaf tea

Won is figuring out what having a puppy means. He old a friend he would help him with a computer issue Saturday 9-1. I told hm that is fine, but he needs to come back around 11-12 to walk, feed, and take Pez out. He is not so pleased right now. Oh well.

I'm

Aw, ya gotta love a warm puppy. :cloud9: Mickey was such a chewer! Even with a baby gate, sour apple "deterrant" spray, and tabasco sauce he managed to chew through the rungs of two of our kitchen chairs! Oh, well, it was a good excuse to get new ones! :p Now he's quite a mellow fellow, if I must say so myself.

Enjoy this new addition to your family and keep asking everyone to do their share, if you know what I mean. Even when you're not working, everyone has to do their part.

Have a good weekend, Beth, and congrats on losing the 1.5. I don't think it was right of you, though, to drop it on me last night when I was sleeping. Next time, give it to someone else! :teeth:

Take care,
Erin

oh the puppy sounds wonderful :flower:

Here's to Onderland :wizard: :cheer2: :wizard: :cheer2: You can do it!!!!!

Have a great weekend.

Sunny

Beth:

I'm kind of from the old school that puppies (and kitties) need to be family members. And that means that everyone in the family needs to take responsibility for the puppy and the puppy will eventually be very bonded with every family member. If the puppy comes to understand that you (and you alone) do the feeding, walking, grooming, his loyalty will be to you - his caretaker. Spreading out the responsibilities and not exactly establishing a routine for who provides the care but just when things happen, will really help Pez understand that he is well loved within his family or pack and he will be very responsive to everyone in the family.

I'm proud of your re-dedication to healthy eating and I sure wish I could match your exercise routine. You are an inspiration everyday!
