We got home from seeing Robots at CityWalk around 1 AM. Originally we had planned to do the EMH at MK on Sunday, but considering how tired we were, and that I was sick, and that Sinatra was getting sick (not my fault! I swear!) we decided to sleep in until 8:30. This was a good idea, seeing how I kept us both awake half the night coughing. I have mild asthma and could barely breathe. It was superfun. By which i mean, "worst thing ever."
But who cares, becos we are going to MK!
Even though we didn't get there til 10:30ish, it wasn't crowded. I was excited becos I was wearing my pretty pretty dress, which is this 1967 thing I found at a thrift store that looks like the rags Cinderella wore before she became a princess, except it is pink and blue and green. We got a locker and then headed for Stitch, which had an 85 minute wait, so we got FPs and went for one of my favourite rides, TTA! Yay. I love TTA. We were FPing like crazy, so we were bouncing from land to land so that we didn't have to wait in any lines. We did Splash Mountain, BTMRR, Buzz, PoTC, and the magic carpets, which I had never done before and loved. As for Stitch? well, i liked it better than Alien. the only parts that bothered me were the burping (ICK!) and the 'fake' audience that they play through the speakers in your ears. like you're sitting in the chair, and you hear a little voice in your ear go, "hey, it's stitch!" and "wow, that was cool!" through the whole ride. if they need a fake kid to tell me the ride is cool, that is not a good sign. Mr. Vacuum had a good time browsing the shops.
We saw Alice and I wanted to meet her, but the line was too long, so I just took a picture.
Next was Philharmagic, which I love, and we had great seats, right in the center of the theatre. We grabbed lunch at Pecos Bills, and by this point, Spice had called to tell me that she and Sugar would be there soon. We decided to meet at the parade, in front of the arcade. Now at this point, Sinatra was feeling lousy and sick and tired, and I was feeling tired, and we had started snipping at each other, so after we got some ice cream he went off to wander around by himself becos he hates parades anyway and I met up with my friends. I had never seen this parade before, usually not being big on parades myself, but I loved it. Afterwards we met up with Sinatra and went to Haunted Mansion (i saw leota's eyes move!), Tikki Birds, the magic carpets again. My friend's roommate was getting a migraine so she sat out on the carpets, then we all sat for a while and got drinks at that place right outside of the Tikki Birds. i had an iced cuppacino which was really good and came in a souvenier cup. we went on the Jungle Cruise, and had a hostess from Hong Kong. There were CMs from Hong Kong everywhere on this trip, they were being trained for when Hong Kong disneyland opened in September. She was totally hilarious, there were a ton of new jokes and a lot of them actually weren't too corny. Whee!!
We rode Space Mountain, Buzz again, and TTA at night. We had dinner at Columbia Harbor House, i had the kids mac n cheese (i always order kids meals at the quick services) which was splendid. By then my friend's roommate was feeling really rotten so they left. Sinatra and I went on Pooh, and Barnstormer. Toontown was nearly deserted so we rode barnstormer twice, the second time a little boy behind us turned to his father after the ride ended and said "i liked that, but i'm done with it" which had us cracking up. then it was teacups time.
This poor man had, at this point, spent approximately 70 hours in my company. It was time to go back to CSR and crash.
The next day I got up early and went to lie out by the CSR pool. It was a little chilly so I read the Borges book I had brought with me for a while and watched the ducks before taking a VERY quick dip in the pool - it was 8 AM and not quite warm yet. We lay around the room watching Golden Girls reruns for a while and then headed off to Downtown Disney.
Sinatra was out and out SICK today. He went to Wolfgang Puck Express in search of something mildly healthy to eat while I finally got to try the All American at Earl of Sandwich. Funny thing was, becos I was still kind of sick, it tasted exactly like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. As soon as we finished eating, the perfect weather streak ended. it POURED. we ran between the shops, trying to wait it out. I really didn't want to get soaked becos I knew i would be miserable on the plane that night if I was all wet. I bought some tea for my mom, some headbands for myself, snacks for my friends and golf balls for my dad, just to say "look, i was having a wonderful amazing time at the happiest place on earth, but i was still thinking about you! aren't i sweet?" by now it was 1:30 PM, and my plane was at 7:40 PM. Sinatra desperately wanted to just be rid of me to he could go to his friends house and crash, but he realized that I really didn't want to spend my last day of vacation sitting in an airport for six hours, so we went to the AMC at DTD and watched Be Cool, which turned out to be surprisingly funny. I grabbed a sundae at Ghiradelli's to go and we went to the airport.
So now I am back in Philadelphia and my adventure is over. But it was a great trip. Perhaps next time I will get to go to Disneyland Paris (assuming I can find someone crazy enough to go with me). Anyway....THE END!
