Best....Worst Waiter?

Okay...based on this last trip...

Best: Wes at FF....do I see a pattern for FF here?

Worst: Larry at Citricos

We had my DD's wedding dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse 12/6/05. Our waiter, Bill Martin was exceptional. He was our waiter last year & we were so pleased with him, we requested him for the wedding dinner.
Also, Kim at Victoria & Albert's was wonderful.

Best servers, time after time, are at Beaches & Cream.

No servers, but the staff at Donald's Breakfastosaurus has was rotten.
:flower:

Best: Hugh at Brown Derby was great, very cute Scotsman!!! He was super knowledgeable about the wines and pairings and has a great sense of humour too.

Worst: Hughue (sp?) at Liberty Tree Tavern. He didn't give a rat's butt about food allergies at our table and wouldn't send out the chef because he was too busy. I let the manager know on the way out.

If you really want to recognize a great server, make sure that you ask for a comment card and jot a quick note. Whenever a manager gets one of these, they are supposed to notate it on the cast members permanent record card.

Thanks for the info! I've had a few super servers, in the future I'll remember to ask for the comment card. For now, thanks to Dottie, the server at Cape May Cafe character breakfast.

Best - Oscar at the Yachtsman.

Can't recall the name of the worst - but it was a Big River Grille & Brew Works.

worst - was at Alfredo's and his name was Francesco P. I am sure he is long gone by now. I don't know what had happened or what was happening to put him in such a foul mood but he was in one as soon as we were seated and then he disappeared for long periods of time. I would have had loved a second glass of wine but we never saw him to order it. He was ugly to the couple next to us so it wasn't just us and we were in a good Disney mood and were determined not to let him spoil our meal. We had to ask another waiter to send the dessert cart our way (after we waited forever for Francesco) and apparently it made Francesco angry because he walked hurriedly by our table and literally threw the case thingamabob with the bill in it and some dessert mints onto our table without even stopping or saying a word.

best - we've had many more wonderful servers than not at WDW, and among them are Mike at LTT. He was just all around great. We have always had great service not just from the server but the whole staff at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Our last visit there our server's name was John.
I wish I could remember what our servers name was at 1900 Park Faire dinner last summer. She was very friendly and when she caught on that my dd and her friend (15) were giggly about a young man sitting at a table in the next room but in their sightline, so she took their camera and very inconspicuously walked to where she wouldn't be noticed and snapped a photo of him. We ran into his dad outside the restrooms when leaving and apparently his son had seen the two girls and was quite smitten too so we laughed and had a nice conversation and parted ways since they live 1,000 miles away from us. Sorry girls. :love1:

Best - Oscar at the Yachtsman.

hehe small world..he is a great waiter :)

I Never had a Bad Waiter ever..but many good ones
Yachtsman Steakhouse......Best..Oscar

Also enjoyed Joey at FF, Also had an amazing female server at
Concourse Steakhse, very friendly and knowledgable, recommended
some good things for us, and even brought an extra "Electric" ice
cube for my son. (the server at Sci-FI offered to sell us one if we
wanted it).

I cant remember her name but this summer i had a wonderful waitress st PTC. She actually sat down and fed my DD who ate up all the attention! I made sure to tell the manager what a wondeful experience we had.

we go to bistro de france and have the same waiter every year for 4 yrs..I hope he is still there..his name is Lidio...a white haired handsome gentleman. He is polite ..funny..knowledgable..and we love him

All time Best- Kevin at Mama Melrose's (4 times)
Also Great- Edsel at Boma (3 times at breakfast)
-Ali at Boma (dinner)

My dd15 and her bff15 thought Craig (from Ontario) at Le Cellier was the best waiter ever, but not exactly because of the way he served our food (he was a very good waiter, IMO). They said he was the best thing about the meal, which was great, by the way!!

There is a waitress named Jules at Boma who is awesome. We've had her 3 times I think. She takes the time to explain everything about the buffet and if you've been there before she will tell you what is new/changed.

She also does something REALLY cool: she has an autograph book and gets all the people at her tables to sign it! She carries it in her aprom and when she brings the bill she asks you to sign it so she can remember you. :goodvibes

No question.........BEST.....Kevin @MM. We ask for him every year and he just keeps getting better! Happy to say that we don't have a worst.

I've posted before in similar threads and have been flamed, but will vote again.

In a white-tablecloth, table-serve establishment Oscar @ the Yaughtsman gets our vote for the worst waiter, @ WDW & anywhere else.

We suffered through his patronizing manner & unprofessional comments regarding the dining plan in early Feb this year (particulary, not fond of the gratuity system!)

I've heard all manner of excuses for his boarish behavior...but, in my book if it walks like a duck... We had expected a classy dining experience but, his sour and inappropriate comments were disturbing; certainly not sophisticated or continentally urbane/witty. Never, have we encountered a similar situation before. We will not patronize them again.

Oscar should shadow Fortune & Kevin on the DCL Wonder ship to learn what true, professional waitstaff act like.

Jimmy at 50's Prime Time was great. The waiter there can make or break the experience.
Hickory at Whispering Canyon was excellent. We were there for breakfast on Departure Day, and not much could be done to cheer us up, but she certainly did her best.

Only good waitstaff this time around, sorry. Best ones I can remember were:
1) Eli @ House of Blues
2) Hollywood Brown Derby (can't quite remember her name, nice blond girl, Denise or some other D name, I think).
3) Michael @ Jiko (good recommendations for the wines)

I agree that the server at Prime Time is important. We had Aunty Elaine when we were there the beginning of Dec, and she was great. She was the first I have ever had ask for a copy of the picture she took of us at the table. She even had labels already printed up with the address!!

I really need to start noting peoples names better - we had a great server at the Concourse as well, and the hostess too, but I can't remember either name!
