Best Western Downtown Disney & DME

We have friends who will be staying at the Best Western (Lake Buena Vista) on property, then joining us at Old Key West. They were told that they could use DME to get to and from WDW from the airport. Is this correct? I thought the Downtown Disney area hotels were not included in DME. TIA!

I am not expert on Magical Express as my family & I have never taken it. However from what I read about it & know, if you stay at any of the Hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd you can not get Magical Express service from the Airport since those Hotels are not owned by WDW. If I am wrong about that, someone please let me know & that way it will help the OP with their question.

They cannot use Disney's Magical Express. They will have to make other travel arrangements - taxi, town car, rental car, Mears.

Only those resorts owned and operated by Disney are included in DME. This is why the S/D and SoG are not included, sad to say. This would also leave those DTD hotels out of the loop so to speak.
