Those who have plenty of experience, what do you find is the best way to send final payment? Is there a large fee for sending a wire?

The last resale purchase that I made required a wire transfer.

I used wire transfer for both of my resale contracts. I did wait until the seller had sent in their closing docs.

I have done both. My credit union did it for free but I didn’t send until closing documents were received.

I've used three title companies. I asked the title agent to tell me when the seller paperwork was complete and wire that day. ALWAYS CALL TO CONFIRM WIRE INSTRUCTIONS. Closing is always that day or the next.

I have two brokerage accounts that allows wires for free.

Sent wire transfer both times. Easy peasy. But we are in Canada so it was the cheapest way as well.

There were wiring instructions with our closing docs. It included the name of the institution, routing number and account number. Our bank didn't charge a fee because of the type of checking account we had.

I paid $25 for my bank. I think it was similar in price to mail a check and while a bit scary wiring felt faster. I usually call to verify the information before sending.

Our bank charged $25 or $30 to wire money. We called the title company after the money was titled. They emailed us within a day letting us know the money was received.

Credit union was free but it was nerve wracking. Wire was $$ but also nervewracking. Go the free way!

I think we paid $30 for our wire, no fee on the title company side for them to receive it (apparently some charge to receive). We waited to send it until we knew that the seller's paperwork was on the way back to the title company.
