Best way to redeem My Points for WDW vacation?

Just wondering what you usually redeem your My Points for.

I know alot of people here redeem theirs for Webcertificates but I personally usually redeem mine for Rainforest Cafe Gift Certificates becuase they are 250 points less and I tend to go there alot for a drink and/or dinner before going to Pleasure Island for the night.

Some people redeem for other restaurant GCs if they expect they might want to go offsite to eat.

But obviously the mose versatile use would be the Webcertificates which you can use to buy anything.

By the way, congratulations on your fantastic weight loss!

I redeem mine for Webcertificates, then buy Disney $ at the Disney store. Like having the "cash".

I have done both Webbies and Rainforest GC. I actually used my Rainforest one for merchandise this last trip since we didn't plan on eating there (but I still like to check out their shirts and stuff--got one for me, one or two for DS, and a Christmas gift for my cousin's son). There's also a DVC discount at Rainforest, so I ended up paying under $5 for everything.

I have the plastic Webbie card (which costs $6.95), so I have used my Webbies for both Disney Dollars and other "stuff." I had money on the card this last trip, and used it to buy books at the Virgin Store at DTD. Had money left over when I came home, so I used it to buy stuff at Joann Fabrics and lots of clothes for Baby Girl at Old Navy.

On our last trip to Disney we drove, so I redeemed for gas cards. Also got fast food certificates from Milesource for some of our munchies on the way down.

We do the RFC certificates too. We had $75 worth of them for our trip last month. Lunch for 4 at RFC at AK (1 dinner(for me), 1 appetizer(for my wife), 1 kids meal(fed 2 easily[young ones]), and a volcano[Yum!]) was around $40 with our 10% discount, so we left 2 of our $25 certificates, a nice tip for our waitress, and a nice meal for the 4 of us for free. Then we went over to the gift shop where my boys each bought a dinosaur and my wife bought 2 shirts (2 for 7.99) and a jacket at 50% off. Then we had 15% off on top of that. When it was all said and done we had spent $9.00 out of pocket for lunch and a bag full of goodies using our MyPoints certificates.

Another thing we have done is used the points for applebee's certificates (which are even cheaper, 3000 pts for $25) for gifts for people then put the $25 aside that we would have spent on them and bought disney dollars with it.

I redeemed a gift certificate for Rainforest Cafe once but I usually redeem my for restaurants such as the Darden restaurants (Bahama Breeze, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster are all close to WDW) and Starbuck's for a coffee at the airport on my way to WDW.

I put all my points into the Webcertificates. In a matter of 6 months, I had enough $$ in my account to get a 4 day park hopper at half price. So I bought it off of disney's website (b/c regardless of how much I looked, no one really beat their prices) and just entered my webcertificate account number as if it was a credit card. Then I entered my regular credit card number to pay the difference.

Before we left, I got enough points to get a $10 gas card that I used on our trip down.
