DH is going to a conference at the Swan & Dolphin. We are staying at CSR. Registration is from 9-7 the day before the conference starts or you can register the day of. He would like to do it the day before, thinking it will be less crowded. We are planning to go to MK that day as it will be the only day we can go as a family. It is also a night that MK closes at 7 p.m. We are trying to figure out when is the best time for him to go register and how to get to and from. IWhen he registers he will get some papers and who knows what else that he will not want to carry in the parks. We have a car but do not want to pay the parking at the Swan&Dolphin just for the registeration. So what is our best way to accomplish this?

If we wait until late in the day to register, how do we get from S&D back to CSR or to the Poly for our dinner ADR at 8p.m.? I assume we would need to go from MK to S&D via bus. Then take a bus to maybe Epcot and then get to Poly from there? How much time will that take?

We thought of driving to MK. Then I could drop him off at S&D and head to RD and he could meet us later in the park, but I heard that is the park that is better to take busses. That way he could put the papers, etc. in the car while at the park. What are the buses like from S&D to MK timewise?

Thanks for any input or advice?

Drive to MK...do whatever you wish to do. At some point, during that time, your dh can actually just take the bus back to the S/D, check in and then bus back to the MK. He can either rent a locker at MK, or you can meet him at the bus area, and then head back over to the TTC and put the stuff in the car and then return to MK and continue with your fun.
Or, you can drop him at the S/D on your way to MK...then he can bus back to MK and meet up with you there.
Yes, it is recommended that you take the bus vs driving to MK. But, in your case, it makes more sense to just drive. Then, you can just head to the Polynesian, from MK, at park closing. YOu can use either the small boat or the monorail. When you are done eating, just walk back to the TTC and get your car. The walk is very pleasant and takes under 10 mins.
