best way to do room requests?

Is it good enough to call and put the requests in your res, or I've seen people post in the past about faxing directly to the resort? If faxing is better, does someone have a link to all the resorts' fax #s?

The best way is to call and have any requests added to your reservation. POR and POFQ are the only WDW resorts that read and act upon faxed requests. All other resorts toss them without reading them.

Calling and having any requests noted is probably the best way to do it, IMO. I think some resorts still accept faxes (not sure which ones), but a lot do not.

I also heard that when doing online check in you can make request. Is that true. I have never done online checking but it may be worth it.

Really? Why is that? That's bizarre.....but good to know!

Yes you can. However, you are limited to a couple pre-programmed choices which may not cover what you would like to request. Calling and adding requests to your reservation is still the best way to go. Then just skip the request section during online check-in.

Online check in only gives you the option to check a few boxes. I always have numerous, very specific requests, so their check boxes dont cut it for me, lol

Yes, you can make requests when doing online check in :). We've never done it so I can't speak from experience, but some people have reported only being able to put in 1 or 2 requests :confused3. With that said, I have also seen it mentioned that you can call and add any additional requests if you have more than what is allowed during online check in ;).

I believe I read post from Andre who runs portorleans.org and the POR/POFQ threads stating that the room assigning teams at POR and POFQ enjoy reading the faxes and spreading pixie dust. I don't know why the other resorts stopped the practice, but I know they have.

I faxed requests years and years ago then stopped. Since we are staying at POFQ, I might fax. My DS7 might like helping me too.

Deal at Target!

Just bought a 5 shelf closet storage hanger for only $1.50 (on sale from $3 in the "dollar" bins).

It's pink - my boys will have to deal with the deal.
