Best Way to Display Mugs

Hi there, I've collected a bunch of Disney mugs over the years, esp. in the late 80's-2000 and am looking for the best way to display them. Of course, they can go on shelves, or hang from shelves, but my big dilemma is our kitten. She loves to climb, so I'm afraid she'll be very tempted to climb on the shelves and bat the mugs around. Most of the mugs cannot be found anymore. They don't even make the same type. So, I really don't want them to break.

Any suggestions?
