I ate at Coral Reef with a party of 9 on the 1st day of our Disney stay 2 weeks ago. On the dvcmember.com site,
http://dvc.disney.go.com/dvc/member/perk/memberPerkDetail?id=WDWPerksDiningThemeParkDetailPage
it says that there's a 10% discount on lunch and so when the bill came I asked for the discount. The server said that they weren't giving it anymore so I asked for the manager and he was very apologetic but said that that discount hadn't been valid for over a year. I didn't want to make a scene but it was an embarrassing and awkward situation.

When I had a chance to look at the Portable Perks leaflet the next day I saw that Coral Reef wasn't listed there. I also saw a restaurant offering a discount that wasn't listed on the website--Tusker House. Of course this was after we'd eaten at Tusker House, a group of 9. I called MS and asked them what to do about it and they said to call Tusker House--it took a while before I got through to a manager on the phone but she was able to give us a credit for the discount.

But I'm still annoyed that the info on the website is so outdated. When I talked with MS about the Tusker house situation I also told the CM about feeling so awkward at Coral Reef and he apologized and said he'd tell his manager that the website needed to be changed, and to call my guide. When I got home I had to call MS about something else and I also brought up the website issue. This CM also said that she'd tell her manager about my concern and said not to call my guide but to write MS--she gave me a snail-mail address, somewhere in Celebration, but I've lost it.

Meanwhile it's been 12 days since I talked to the 1st CM, and 9 days since I talked to the 2nd, and Coral Reef is still on the website. So does anyone have any suggestions on whom to contact, and how? Would the snail-mail address be best, if I find it? Is the "Contact Member Services" form on the website reliable? I don't want anything like compensation but I really think they should update the website--in fact I would have expected it to be more current than the printed Portable Perks. I have a small website of my own--I'm not an IT professional by any means but I know that it would only take me a couple of minutes to make that kind of an update so why can't they?

Thanks for listening to the vent and for any suggestions you may have.

I doubt they will change it quickly no matter how often you write about it. They give you the portable perks so you can have the most up to date information. The IT department is horrible.
