Best way to activate Magic Band

Hi there... we will be arriving to Orlando several days prior to our Disney stay bc DH has a business trip in Orlando. Can someone provide some insight as to where we can best activate our magic bands so that they are ready for when we stay on property?

Here are some plans, maybe there is a customer service location by one of these?

First night- California Grill reservations at Contemporary
2nd day- DS and I are going to Typhoon Lagoon, maybe all 3 of us need to be there to activate?
4th day- al 3 of us are going to Blizzard Beach

Our first day on disney property we want to drop our bags off at the hotel and do rope drop at Epcot. I know we can activate at the front desk but I"d like to have this already set up in advance if possible.

Are you managing your reservations via My Disney Experience and having your bands shipped to you? They are "active" when you receive them - meaning they are linked to your reservation. You need to link your park tickets to them via your MDE account, which "activates" them for parks access. There is nothing to do in person - you show up, and they work (in theory - sometimes there are hiccups that require cast member intervention, but it is uncommon).

You're on site so you'll receive bands in the mail. They'll already be linked to your MDE which has your tickets linked.

Just to clarify, we are staying offsite the first 4 nights so are they active at that time?

We last stayed at Disney when mb were new and we tried activating them at Disney quest and ran into all sorts of problems bc we weren't at a park or resort.
