Best way from BCV to California Grill/CR?

Grumpy husband would like the easiest way. Budget conscious wife would prefer not to take a taxi.

I'd think the best way would be to take the bus to the MK and then hop on the monorail to the CR.

Would I have to go into the actual park(MK) to hop the monorail? It's been a long while...I don't remember...

No, you can take the monorail without entering the park..You can also walk from the MK bus stop to the CR. It's not far at all...less than 1/2 mile.

Easiest way is a taxi, of course. Total travel time would be 10-12 minutes. I don't know about the fare, as I always rent a car at WDW, but I don't think it would be more than $15.

But the cheapest way (in fact, free) is not much harder - take a bus from Beach Club to MK, then take the Resorts monorail line around to Contemporary. Total travel time would be about 40 minutes, not counting the initial wait for the bus to pick you up at Beach Club.

None of the monorail lines actually stop inside the parks. The MK monorail stops are all outside the gates, and the monorail doesn't even go into the park. The Epcot monorail actually loops through Epcot, but its stop is also outside the park gates.

Considering that this will be very late, after a long first day of touring, I'm reconsidering the taxi.

To be totally honest, we when used the DDP for our visit just a few days ago, we always allowed an hour to get to restaurants that were located in other resorts and very rarely had any time to spare. Plus, on the few occasions we arrived a few minutes early, we were normally seated upon arrival.

Just take the bus to the MK and walk. The walk from the bus stop to the monorail is maybe half the distance of walking directly to the Contemporary.
