A friend who knows I go to Disney a lot asked which water park would be best for a friend of hers who has a non-verbal autistic child (age 18ish, I think) who loves water parks. I haven't gone to TL in years. I have only been to BB. I didn't know if anyone with autistic kids could help!

I have an 18 year old son who is autistic and he seems to like TL best. He really likes the wave pool and lazy river. He is a non-swimmer. Not sure about your friend's son. He just stays at the edge of the wave pool so it's safe with us with him. We found that BB had too many slides (and no wave pool). He doesn't like those really big slides. Your friend's son might. Also, TL has a very relaxing "vibe". Hope he has a great trip! :goodvibes

As an adult Aspie I find even pictures of BB overwhelming to look at and I don't think I would ever go there.

I loved TL and found it very calm and pleasant, particularly the wave pool, which I would have stayed in for hours, and the lazy river. But it does also have a good selection of water "rides" for the more adventurous.

Thank you both for your replies. I forwarded this information. I know it is truely appreciated!!

what I did with no problem was: walked up the slide steps ahead of my autistic son, and told the attendant at the top "This is my son with autism, and he will listen to you and go only when you tell him." Then I went down the slide and he followed.
