I need suggestions for footwear. I'm not a sneaker wearer, so am curious if anyone has a suggestion for the best sandals, or those shoes that are like,,, sandals with toes (what are those called??!!)
I have pretty normal feet, if that helps.
Thanks!

Do you mean Keens? I have a pair of the Keen Newport H2s and I lived in them during our trip in September. I wish that I had known about them years ago. I made sure to walk a lot of miles in them ahead of time so that I'd know if there were any potential hot spots. They're pricey but I kept searching for sales. Still worth every penny. We walked nonstop for 5 days and the Keens never gave me a single blister.

I like Keen's and have a pair of their shoes (like sneakers, despite the fact that I don't "do" sneakers.) I'll have to try their toe-d sandals.
Thanks!

Thanks to reading about Keens on the DIS I picked up a pair of Keen clogs that I've been living in for the rest of the year when I can't wear the newports...love them!

The Newport H2s are labelled as water shoes but this meant that there were no worries when we got soaked on Kali River Rapids or got caught in the rain. Keen makes another style called Venice H2, also a water shoe, but the pattern of the straps is different.

I've found the Keens to run small, though so I always order a size higher. Good luck! I don't know if they'll work for you but if they do make sure to wear them for a bit first. I jusy love them, all of the grip & support of a sneaker without the socks:lmao: .

I vote for Crocs they don't all look so funny my wife and I both have a few different styles you can get them as wet as you want

I was loathe to spend so much money on a sandal...but I just bought my first pair of Keens...and OMG, I love them. I bought them at Zappos.com when they ran a sale on a few of the odd colored ones. I second that they run small..(but I knew this and so ordered a 1/2 size larger). I can't wait to wear them at Disney!

I have Merrell sandals that I have used for three years now. They are my Disney shoes of choice, a little pricey but never a blister on either of my feet! They are so great that we got my DD a pair last year too.

I was wondering if Merrills were good. I have a pair of their clogs which I love.
I'm going to go shoe/bag shopping tomorrow and have my fingers crossed that I'll find good stuff and not spend a mint!

I just bought a pr of Merrells--I've worn their jungle mocs during the winter. I saw these in the REI flyer. They are maryjane style and MESH! very breathable for summer!! I odered them online and bought a half size up, they were a little too big, bummer. So today I drove 27miles to the closest store and exchanged them for the size down--they might be just a touch small but I guess better than being so big. I often have this problem w/shoes, my feet are just a little in between sizes. They will require breaking in, but I think they will be great for WDW! They are lightwt which is also a plus, I found Keens to be rather heavy. I also love my Crocs but like to have another option.
