Best Version of Wishes and Why?

Having a discussion about this, would be interested to hear people's thoughts. Of the various versions of Wishes/MK Fireworks, which one is the best, and why? I believe the options are:

Wishes
Hallowishes
Holiday Wishes

Also, not sure if these are technically Wishes or something else, but:
NYE
4th of July

Am I missing any? Do all of these other than the basic Wishes have fireworks that go off all around you?

Thoughts?

If I had to pick seeing only one version of Wishes, I would pick HalloWishes. Halloween is one of my favorite "seasons" and I really like the way HalloWishes looks and sounds. It's my second most favorite fireworks show in all of the domestic Disney Parks and my favorite show at WDW.

I've only seen the first three you mentioned (I hear 4th of July is awesome except for the crowds) and out of those I would definitely vote for Hallowishes.

Like Robo said, all are great, but we really liked the Halloween party fireworks the best of all. It was a cool change from the usual ones.

Apart from the original version, I've only had the opportunity to see the Xmas version, which I think is pretty much the best fireworks show I've seen anywhere. Absolutely loved the fact that they go off all around you!

I saw a photo once from what I think was NYE, and if I'm not mistaken, there were fireworks on the perimeter of the Seven Seas Lagoon. Anyone know if that was part of their evening fireworks show, or a separate thing?

I haven't seen Hallowishes, but I prefer the Christmas Wishes over the regular. I just like the theme and the music behind them. It allows the kid in you to come out and get excited for Christmas. I know this wasn't in this thread, but I actually prefer the Christmas version of Illuminations out of all of them. It's something about the last segment after the normal part of the show. I'm probably the only one who likes that more, but that's my opinion.

Standard wishes, Halloween, Christmas in that order for us. My wife and I can can't hear the little girl singing "star light star bright" part without tears from one of us. There is something about being there with our girls that is very meaningful to us. We are already mourning the rumor that it will be changing. The fireworks finale for Halloween is pretty awesome though,

I know what it is about it -- it's that they unleash more fireworks in 30 seconds than they do in the entire show that preceded it! My wife is not a fan of Illuminations, but we saw this last December, and she was just like, "Wow, that was incredible!"

That is the best part when you can physically feel the compression wave from all the fireworks! The part I like the most is when they are singing let there be peace on earth and having it in all the different countries. I do prefer the Christmas segment over the normal illuminations. I think it is more calming and really brings to me the feeling of Christmas. Wishes is great, but I feel it brings the kid out in you which is good. Illuminations I think gives a better understanding of Christmas and the joy of giving. That's my interpretation and feeling.

4th of July was super cool and I really enjoyed it, and Hallowishes is also awesome, but the good old classic wishes has a special place in my heart and will always be my favorite!

I love the regular Wishes. I still get teary every time.

BUT, the fireworks from the Pirate and Princess Party, a hard ticket event from 2007 (?) were amazing. I think it was called the Music, Magic and Mayhem but I'm not sure. I'm sure it's on YouTube.
