We are trying to save up some money to go to Disney next October and would be most interested in staying at a Value resort (more money for other things!). We stayed at All Star Movies on our last trip in 2000 and enjoyed it. We are thinking of Pop Century for this upcoming trip. Oh and by the way it would just be DH and I (33 and 32 by then).

Which value do you all prefer and why??

Thanks!

If you were happy with Movies, you'll definitely enjoy POP!! For the money, you can't beat any of the Value Resorts; they're all "acceptable". I've stayed at Sports, Music & Pop. Enjoyed each one, but my personal preference would be Pop - because it's "newer" and as many have said, it's kind of like "moderate lite"!

I like ASMo but I have never been at POP my kids wouldn't know any of there meanings.

I'm going to Pop in December. I'll give a report when I get back. :)

I like all the resorts. My cousin has stayed at all of the All Stars and she has said that she likes Movies the best out of those 3. :)

I have stayed at all 3 All Stars and POP. I will back at POP on Thursday. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :teeth: Of the All Stars I prefer Movies because it is newer and IMO the other 2 are starting to show their age some. I guess I prefer POP slightly more than Movies because it is newer but I really don't think you can go wrong with either POP or Movies. One thing I will point out is that since it is just adults going you might enjoy POP more because you can walk around looking at everything from the different decades and it's like a stroll down memory lane. :)

We just got back today from Pop and it was a very good resort but there was a couple of things that really bothered us.

1) the transportation has to be the worst at Disney. We waited in the longest lines for the longest amount of time for our buses. One time between one Pop bus, 4 other ASMovies buses came before the next Pop bus came at MK. Another time it took us 45mins to get from DTD back to POP in the early afternoon. We weren't the only ones complaining about this either.

2) Some of the CM's we dealt with seemed to be poorly trained in customer service and the policies of Disney.

The Resort it self is great but I doubt very much that we will be returning to this resort.

Thank you very much for your responses... I think I will stick with booking a room at POP... I'll keep ASMo as my "backup plan" resort. Thanks!:Pinkbounc

After staying in All-Star Sports and Pop Century, I have to say that Pop Century was significantly more enjoyable/better then All Star Sports. I know they pretty much are the "same", but those minor differences and improvements make Pop Century that much more enjoyable. One way or another, you will love all the Value resorts! For the price you pay and considering your in WDW and at the parks so much, as long as the room is clean and there's food available (both are of course :) ) ...you'll love the resorts.
