We are staying at Wilderness Lodge for 2 nights in December & are thinking of adding a 3rd night at a Value. I haved stayed at All Star Movies in the past & was just wondering everyone's thoughts on what is the best Vlaue resort to stay at.

Aren't they not all the same cost wise:confused3 We stayed at Pop in September and liked the fact that we had our own buses, even if the lines were extra long at the end of the day. Breakfast was very busy as well, but I guess that will be the same at all values.

We've stayed at both POP and MUSIC. POP does have it's own dedicated buses while MUSIC shares with Sports and Movies. This was much more important at park closing when the lines were very long. However, MUSIC was much more low key than POP. Mornings at POP were a zoo!!

Either way, they're priced the same and both we good experiences for us. Next time we want to try MOVIES

We will have a vehicle so the bus is not really a deciding factor for us. I have stayed at the Movies before so I know that the buses are crowded at the end of the night so I think we will be taking the car. So, if the bus is not an issue - what Value would you pick. I am leaning towards Pop only cause its newer but I am up for all suggestions

We've stayed at Pop and All Star Music.

We prefer Pop especially the dedicated buses. The All Star buses are so crowded and unless you're at the first stop forget about a seat.

I've stayed at ASMo, ASSp and POP. I prefer ASMo. The buses can be an issue but my philosphy is there is always another bus. I find it to be quieter than POP. Also I love the theming at ASMo.

MUSIC had refurbished rooms when we went in August 2007

I stayed at ASMo in the middle of july. Although we did have to share buses occaisionally it really wasn't an issue. If one bus was full just wait 5 to 10 minutes for the next one.
If you have kids i would go back to ASMo. The theming is so good. But if you are only going to be at a value for one night try a new one if you want so will will know for next time. I really don't think you can go wrong.

We loved POP.... in fact after staying at CBR and POR mykids still ask about going back to POP ..... it was fun. Maybe because that was our first stay I don't know. I prefer CBR but I would stay at POP again no problem.

Is is just adults going, or children too? I find for adults, Music is the best choice. It's quieter, less kids, and the atmosphere is nicer, with the fountain, and all the greenery in the middle and such. My favorite area there is the Broadway Section.

If you're bringing kids, I would either say Movies or Pop Century.

We stayed in the Broadway section at MUSIC too and really enjoyed it. Definately much more quiet than our experiences at POP.

Hands down ... MUSIC! It's our favourite! And the food court at POP is just plain crazyness, especially in the mornings. :scared1:

Enjoy!

Any thoughts on Allstar Sports? I just checked & I don't think I can get in to Music as it is booked.

True Pop is very busy in the morning and the food court is huge. You do need to split up to order different meals but the same is true at the All Star Resorts.
I preferred the resort experience at Pop here as opposed to ASMu and the shared buses between the three All Star resort.
Previous posters say there's always another bus. True that one is just as crowded as the previous.

But I would be happy to stay anywhere on Disney property if it meant time at WDW!

I hope the answer to your original question is ASSp - because that's where we'll be going in SIX days!!! :cool1:  :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

All Star for us! We had a waaaaaay better time with the buses because we could always catch a Music and walk to our room at Movies. Next time, we're staying at Music and catch either Movies or Sport buses. The wait for the Pop buses were aweful!!

Loved POP and have stayed their twice this year. We went at relatively quiet times of the year so our experiences with buses was very good with very little waits. We also liked the food court and had pretty good experience with the gift shop although we are huge souvenier shoppers. That said, we have booked Coronado for our next trip because they have Queen beds and our DS (10) is getting quite tall. The doubles at POP are pretty compact and a good night's sleep is essential when you plan to get up early and have full days.

Ok, I have finally booked our night at All Star Sports. Well, actually, I have changed everything to Sports cause after thinking long & hard about it, do I really need to spend $248/night just to stay at the Wilderness Lodge. I know, I know... its a Deluxe & can't compare to the All Stars but I have stayed at all 3 levels at Disney Resorts & have to admit that I enjoyed my time at the All Stars the most. I did want to stay at All Star Movies but couldn't get 2 nights in a standard room, only a preferred room. I prefer the standard ones cause I find them quieter. I really wanted to stay at Wilderness Lodge as it is supposed to be the best decorated for xmas so we will just go over one day & check it out for free -lol!
