Best Transportation to MK for morning EMH

We haven't stayed at Ft. Wilderness in over seven years and I'm trying to figure out the new (to us anyway) transportation. We want to attend the morning EMH at the Magic Kingdom. I've read conflicting information about the boat and EMH and wanted y'all's opinions. Which would be best?

I'd say boat to CR then monorail to MK. (Enough walking gets done during the day as it is.....I prefer to ride whenever possible)

Since the Fort has no quick breakfast option and I don't cook while camping at Ft. Wilderness, I pretty much start each day with the boat ride to the Contemporary at 6:45 am. Then I grab a quick breakfast at the Food n' Fun Center, then head to wherever I'm going. That may be a walk to the MK, monorails to Epcot, or a bus to the Studios or Animal Kingdom

Thanks clkelley! I think we'll probably take the ferry to the Contemporary since it runs so early. I have a wee touch of anxiety disorder/control issue when it comes to getting places on time. As far as getting to the MK from there we much prefer walking to fiddling around with the Monorail.

For those of you who voted for the boat to the MK: Have you used it for a morning EMH? I ask because I'd read other posts that indicated that it didn't get to the park in time for the beginning of EMH. We want to do what's easiest but really want to be there before 8:00 am. Are there boats before 7:30?

we used the ferry to MK for emh and never made it on time (last year) this year we drove everywhere. I liked being in charge of when and where I was going and having the ability to get there on time (without getting fired up about being late )

this year went much smoother

My last trip in Feb. we took bus to WL then bus to MK worked well. The boat to MK never comes early enough. Boat can be cold in Feb also.

We were there in May and took the MK ferry for an EMH day and made it in plenty of time for EMH. We arrived at MK, went through security, and still had to wait about 10-15 minutes before they opened the park.

Early Magic Hours. If you are an on-site guest you receive early admission to certain parks (or late night hours). It should be posted on line and if I remember correctly you get a copy of it when you check in.

We needed to get to MK for an 8:05 a.m. ADR at Crystal Palace. When we got to the marina at 7:20 we were told that the ferries don't start running to MK until 8:20. We took the CR ferry and then walked over to MK from there. I don't know if there are ferries that run specifically for EMH. Hope this helps!
