Am heading for WDW for a solo trip in November and was thinking of maybe doing a couple of tours. Am definitely going to do the Around the World on Segway tour, but are there any others you would recommend? Which is the best?

You did not mention Keys to the Kingdom, but that's our favorite. Saw some awesome things on that one. Behind the Seeds is great for a low-dollar, low-time investment. The boat ride through the Land is so fast, it's hard to absorb everything, and the tour allows you to do that.

We did the Segway in October, and enjoyed it very much. It's fun to go back to work on Monday morning and be able to say you've ridden one.

Overall you've got some good choices, just depends on your personal interests.

Second vote here for Keys to the Kingdom. That and Segway are the two best we've done. A close third would be the Aqua Seas at Epcot's Living Seas.

I was looking at that one and it looks pretty interesting.

OP: DH & I did BOTH...Keys to the Kingdom and Steam Train Tour in Feb!!! :thumbsup2

They were BOTH awesome :teeth: !!! You did not mention KTTK which I would have VOTED #1 so instead I voted for the Steam Train Tour. But both very good. :teeth:

Also when I booked and used the DISNEY VISA I received 20% off each ticket!!! So a little tip there for you IF you have a DISNEY Visa!!! :teeth:

Good luck and have a blast....O one more thing....if you are a PIN COLLECTOR you receive these awesome RARE pins after the Tour!!!! They are NOT sold anywhere. You have to take the Tour to get the PINS!!! :teeth:

I loved the Segway tour. It was the most fun we have had at Disney. The next fave was KTTK and the backstage safari. You will have fun whatever you chose.

This tour was amazing!!! If you'd asked me 2 weeks ago if I wanted to do the train tour, I would have said no. But last Sat. I took it and couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it - it was awesome!!! Went with Donna (Pandy Paws) and her DBF Jim who are both Engineers and had a great time. :cool1:

Have to say KTTK was a great tour worth the time and money. :thumbsup2

I voted for Wild by Design. If you enjoy AK, then you might find the "story" behind the lands interesting. My DH and I enjoyed it.

Also when I booked and used the DISNEY VISA I received 20% off each ticket!!! So a little tip there for you IF you have a DISNEY Visa!!!

I just got my Disney Visa card, so will have to use that.

Around the World on a Segway was truly a Blast!!! I hope to do it again.
Have a great solo trip - what a great opportunity.

Last Nov dh and I celebrated our 20th. We did Backstage Magic, Train Tour, Segway and the Land. We loved all of them.

Backstage was great at points and boring at others. We went through the employee area of Epcot and I found it quite interesting to hear about what benefits employees receive (I am an HR mgr) but I now know more about the laundry facilities and uniforms than I wanted to. It was a thrill to be in the back area of the American Adventure and to see how the scenes are lifted to the stage. The parts about the Magic Kingdom and going through the unidors was interesting. You also see the florist area which was interesting.

DH loved the train tour and I found it interesting. (DH loves trains and spends so much time looking at them on the internet I told him it was train porn)

I loved the Land tour. That is my favorite part of Epcot. Dh was mildly interested.

We both loved the Segway Tour. DH was disappointed that the Segways were kept to a lower speed. When our dd's are both 16 we will take them on it.

So I think any of the tours would be worth it.

Thanks everyone for the input. Looks like the Segway tour is a must.

Congratulations to you for going "solo". I too am from "wet" Massachusetts! The only tour I have done recently is the "Behind the Scenes at AK". It was great! Much better than I had expected a lot of fun-but really informative too! Which ever one you chose had a great time and let us know how it was!
