Hello everyone! Well....we were scheduled for Disney Jan. 10-17 (the time we normally go) but we have had to alter our plans. Does anyone know when some other good times are to go. We don't like it crowded and in early January it is usually always great. So does anyone know when some other good times are to go?

Thanks and happy holidays to you all. :earsgirl:

Just like to say welcome to the DIS. I found the second week of December is a great time to go. Everything is decorated, they have the MVMCP and, best of all, it's not crowded. The weather is a little iffy that time of year, but when we went in Dec. of 2001, the weather was great, in the 80's every day:D

We've gone a couple weeks before Thanksgiving. That was great. I hear January and October are good, and also February--just not around Presidents week.

Whenever the kids are in school and not on breaks is a good time.

I was thinking some time in February...but I also heard that the first week in May is good...is that true? Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks :)

I'm a fan of the second or third week in September. Everyone is back in school, the place is empty, and the weather is still very warm.

We have always found the first week of March to be quiet. It's after all the schools breaks but still a great getaway from the New England weather. We never encounter lines during this time and it's warm enough to wear shorts and bathing suits.

Anytime !! I could go whenever !!

But...we went in 1996 in November as NJ has teachers convention, and the kids were off from school for a few days. It was great.........mostly people from NJ there though.....everyone had the same idea.! ---but not crowded at all.
We went 2002 for the week of Labor Day.........great timing also.
Not crowded at all, since mostly school was in, but our schools delayed for a week due to construction at one of the elementary schools.

ANYTIME!! :D

We also go in mid May (before Memorial Day) for the same reason. Smaller crowds because its too close to the end of the school year to take kids out, and it's warm enough to take advantage of the water parks and pools, but not Florida-in-the-summer hot.

The other time of year we go is early December. There's nothing like Christmas in Disney. You gotta try it at least once!

I just came back from my fifth visit to WDW, the time right after Thanksgiving. LOW crowds, great weather, value rates, Christmas decorations EVERYWHERE along with the holiday specials like MVMCP and Candlelight Processional.

September is WONDERFUL!

Ted and I moved here at the end of August, and spent a great deal of time at WDW in September. The temperature is a perfect 80-85 degrees and the crowds were VERY low!!

i'm with evil princess and justholly

Sep is the way to go
-still hot enough to fully enjoy water parks
-very small crowds
-value season on resorts and DVC points

not the greatest time though if you have kids(none here)the sooner they get behind in school the later they catch up

Just my opion, but we've been going to WDW for 12 years now and our favorite times are the last week in May (a bit warm) but the Flower and Garden Festival is well worth it. The end of October for the Food and Wine Festival (lovey weather that time of year) and the first or second week of December (weather can be iffy) but the Christmas festivities are well worth those times you might have to bundle up a bit. Just someting to think about.

Dan,
I read the quote in your post,

"Random acts of kindness, no matter how small, are never really lost. They live forever in the hearts of those who are fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of them.
--Lady M"

It seems that this is the season for random acts of kindness. I stumbled upon this auction at ebay and made a private paypal donation to the lady's email address. The auction made me realize how fortunate we Disney vacationers are....my heart went out to this mother.

Happy Holidays to everyone. Let us remember this is the season of giving and to remember to give thanks for what we have. May God Bless our troops that are away this Christmas holiday.

The first week of June is great. The weather is nice and warm, and the attendance is low since many kids are in there last weeks of school.

I am leaning toward May....some of you have said the first week is good. I do not want to go when it is too warm. I went in September once and we were far too hot and did not enjoy ourselves as much as we would have if the weather had been cooler. Is May really warm also or just comfortable?

Thank you :)
