Best time to go???

We are planning another trip to Disney and we are trying to decide when to go. I have a DS in first grade and was trying to go when he is out and the times we have narrowed it down to are Feb. and the other is Thanksgiving. When do you think would be our best time to go? I used to go at Thanksgiving but that was 20 yrs ago and I really don't remember the temp, the lines and that stuff. I was to into the magic to pay attention to that stuff. Plus things have changed in 20 yrs. We went 3 yrs ago in October and it was still hot. But our main concern is how big the crowd is at Thanksgiving.

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.

Until day befor Thanksgiving would be fine for crowds.Thanksgiving day and the weekend(Fri.,Sat. and Sunday)will be crowded.Weather can be anything between very warm to down right cold so bring clothes you can wear in layers to deal with the different temps you may encounter.

I was thinking about Thanksgiving week too for the same reason. I have a few years to go before my DS is in 1st grade( we just had his first WDW trip this April) but I am taking notes now on how to get around school schedules. We are planning on going back to WDW when he will be 7. After all these reports about June I don't want to go in the heat. I thought Thanksgiving week would be best during a school holiday. We had no crowd problem with the spring breakers from the northeastern states the last week of April. So I am hoping we can survive Thanksgiving week. I heard the weather is beautiful.

I went in Feb once and it was a bit chilly but the crowds were very nice. That may be a good choice for you. I'm sure you've heard everyone else praising October. I'm going to try out September 5 on up for about ten days this year. I went in April and just got back from a May trip, May was lovely as far as crowds go but the heat was to be contended with.
