Hi,
My husband and I just joined the DVC and are planning our first trip. We have 150 points, so we want to go during an economical time and are considering:
-- Nov (other than thanksgiving time)
-- Dec (other than Christmas)
-- Jan
We'll be traveling with our 1.5 year old son, so we're not sure how much time we'll spend in the parks. We expect we'll spend some time at the pools, beachs, playgrounds, walking around the properties, etc. Any advice on the best parks & rides for a toddler? Other good things to do with a toddler?

Some of the purpose of the visit is for our son to spend time with his grandparents, who live in Florida and will be coming to stay with us at the resort since their house is not kid-friendly. So we're planning on some quiet, hanging out time, too.

Other general advice on booking a first DVC vacation?
Thanks so much!
Ann Marie

The begining of November is nice because of the weather (low 70's to 80)and the Food & Wine Festival. Crowds can be a little higher (not bad ) because of F&W.

December is great because of the X-mas decorations and low points. Weather can be chilli (low60's to 70's). We have gotten some swimming in though. Low crowds.

January can get cold snaps but great touring weather. We have even had to wear winter coats one time. Very low crowds.

If your parents live there maybe ask them. They must have a feel for the weather.

I have been just about all months of the year, Jan., Feb., March, May, July, Aug., Sept., Nov., and Dec.. November is my Favorite.

Welcome to you and your family!

Traditionally the first week of December is the slowest time for the parks, but a busy time for DVCer's. That being said, this year with the "happiest celebration on earth" promotions, I'm not sure what to expect.

Thanks for the info. I'd like to balance the low points and low crowds with good weather.
