Best time to go in the summer.

My daughter gets out of school June 5th so I'm wondering what is a good time to go after that? I'm hoping for a time with out huge crowds.

The least crowds will likely be the least crowded. It is also likely to have reduced entertainment.

Let me give what may be some stronger advice... if you are wanting to go in the summer, make sure you know which dates allow annual passholders, and which do not. IMHO, if you go when most (or all) AP are blocked out, you will probably find the crowds tolerable.

I have gone the last two years, 2011 and 2012, in the first couple of weeks of July, with all AP blacked out, and while it was crowded, it was not insane -- some days were relatively mild, some days were medium, some days were more crowded, seemingly a bit random, probably due to tour groups -- and every day had a full slate of entertainment.

It also wasn't all that terribly hot, obviously that's a roll of the dice, but from what I can tell, it gets a lot hotter there in August...

This is one of those questions whose answer depends greatly on your touring style. Do you like the "mountain" rides? Or do you prefer the tamer rides?

We have always gone in mid-August and I find the crowds manageable, but we don't ride anything that uses a FastPass. We also go back to the hotel mid-day until dinnertime and swim and eat, then go back to the parks after dark. We always go right before the AP blockout dates lift and it has been great.

Sorry got busy a f forgot to get back on here. I know for sure dd wants toon town and cars land. We went Dec 2011 and most things were walk on or a very short line. She gets a week off every oct that looks like most schools do not. So maybe we will just plan it then. Then we can do mickeys Halloween party if we want.
