I am looking to book flights for 1-2-11 and 1-9-11. When is the best time to book? I am flying from MSP to MCO, and currently prices are $300 and above. I have friends that go down 2-3 times a year and they never pay over $200 pp RT.

Part of the problem is when you are looking to go. January 2nd is still peak holiday travel time from the New Year's holiday.

I don't think you are going to get the prices to go much lower because of the holiday and also because January 2nd is a Sunday. Sunday always seems to be an expensive day to travel in and out of MCO. I usually get the cheapest airfares when I travel on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

I would be surprised if you get your airfare under $200 for those dates.
