Best time for breakfast at the Castle?

Hi!

I've been watching these boards for awhile and am so thankful for all I've picked up.

We are planning to have breakfast at the castle and I would love opinions about the best time to schedule this for (if we are fortunate enough to get our first pick). We will be going during a down time and will have two days at MK, so I'm not too worried about rope drop. I'm more interested in getting pictures in front of the Castle and getting to stroll down Main Street when it is less crowded.

We would try to make reservations for a day that does not have extra morning hours. If we get the 8:05, I'm sure the park will be as empty as possible, however I'm worried about having to rush down Main Street to make our reservation. I didn't know if an 8:10 or 8:20 reservation would be more ideal in allowing us to spend a bit more time on Main Street before arriving for our reservations.

Thank you very much in advance for any tips or perspective!

Call for the date and see what times are available, which may answer your question immediately. Let's say you got a 8:30 or 9am. You could enter the park much earlier, walk around and get fabulous photos for a time and then hit your ADR. The photo opps are wonderful when the park is "empty" so I'd make that a priority. We did CRT at park opening and loved the feel of the park empty, watching the workers finish up the last flower watering, the quiet...almost like we had the park to ourselves;) Such a contrast to when we walked down Main Street just a few hours later!

We had 8:05 reservations on a non-EMH morning and were let in the park around 7:40 or so. We had plenty of time to take pictures on Main Street and in front of the castle before checking in.

I would definitely go for the 8:05a. They will let you in early enough to soak in some of that awesome emptiness on MSUSA and in front of the Castle. CP and CRT start seating at 8:05a, BBB starts princessification at 8am, there are early morning tours, and in all cases they technically want you to be there about 15 min early...so they definitely let people in early enough to have a fairly relaxing stroll/photo op on the way to their destinations. :goodvibes

I prefer the earlier time too, however, if you're traveling with Grumpy & Sleepy, you'll have to settle for a later time :rotfl:

Our ADR is for 10:20 :lmao: I'm still looking forward to it :cool1:

That's great!

Thanks for the help, I will look for the 8:05 for our Feb. trip.

Absolutely 805. We had that ADR and got to see the park almost empty, pics with Castle and no crowds and dumbo's first run ( in those days that was important ;) ) We are not morning people but have done both the Castle and Tuska house first seating and it is much more relaxed and the parks feel refreshed and "yours" early in the am. Good luck with ressie!
