Currently I have a reservation for my daughter at 10:45am but I'm concerned about inconveniencing the family (10 of us), because of the time. Shortly after rope drop, shortly before lunch time and worried that the kids just won't want to stop. When I called they had a reservation for 8am but then imI worried about not being done in time for the park to open sna what would the rest of the family do. My kids have never seen the park opening ceremony, well it's been 10yrs so more like they don't remember it, but I'd love for them to see it. Any ideas?

We did mine at 10:30 this past trip, and it was great but it was just three of us, me, and my two kids.

I will tell you that you will have a hard time keeping all 10 of you together for the whole time. If she really wants to do it, I’d have her to it then and just meet up with everyone afterwards. She will probably be 45-60 minutes.

There is a BBB at Disney Springs also if you are able to find a reservation there for your daughter that might better suit your families schedule on a different day other than your MK day. I did Pirates League for my boys and they loved it. Took about an hour out of our park day between check in, face paint, and pictures. I wish there was a Pirates League at Disney Springs.

I don’t want to tell you what to do, but honestly if I were you I would do it at Disney springs IF you can. There is also a photo pass area right behind Ghiradelli where photographers will take photos of your daughter with really awesome backdrops. Then she can enjoy her dress up time and you won’t feel rushed. Plenty of stuff for the rest of the family to do at Disney Springs too.

not sure when your going, but a 10:45 appt you probably wont get in a chair until closer to 11:00 - maybe even 11:15 (IME get backed up on appts pretty quickly) and I can't imagine 10 people will be allowed in to wait. Place isn't all that big. So I would let the others go about their day, and go in with your daughter.

We're going mid January. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has gone for an 8am appt and then went out of the park for rope drop. Or if that's just a stupid idea. Im really just over thinking it all but I don't want my kids to miss out on anything.

depends on what package and what time RD is. If your in the first batch when they open, you should be ok making it out by 9:00. Even if 9:15, she wont miss much in that time frame.

We had a 10:45 BBB on our last trip and it worked great. We did ripe drop at 9 and my DD was able to get in a good number of rides. When it was time for BBB she was fine breaking off from the rest of the group. As someone else said, BBB in the MK is very small so no matter what time you go, your whole group won't be able to sit and watch.

8am is the perfect time! (Assuming a 9am open). Go snag that if they still have it. They let u in at 7:45. We got started before it was even 8, and we were done by 8:30 so we even had time for the pictures before rope drop. But if you finish by 8:50 or so I would wait to do pictures at castle couture until after lunch. This gives you the same advantage as BOG breakfast does to ride mine train or meet a princess. And your whole family can walk with the princess to her appointment so they are all in the back of the park. Then they can walk around a bit until she gets done,

I agree!

Walk with the princesses? Say what now? How does that happen??

Sorry, I see how that could be read differently. When I said walk with the princess, I meant your princess, the one who was being transformed into a princes at the boutique! Not the Disney characters.

The point I was trying to make was that your whole family can walk with your child to the boutique so they will all be at the back of the park and they can all have the advantage of beating the RD crowd to mine train. They should give you a piece of paper (map) to get back there, so even if they want to walk main street to get a coffee or something while she is at the boutique, they should still be able to make it back to you by rope drop (but my husband and son like to walk around the empty park ... as far as they are allowed to go) and sometimes the carosel was running so my son rode that with nobody else on the ride while he waited for my daughter to be done.
