Please don't move this thread... I never get responses on the restaurant board.
I need advice. We have tried a lot of the WDW restaurants but when it comes to Epcot, we don't know that much. We love LeCellier. Had a horrible experience in San Angel inn.
We will be back from 12/23 to 1/3. It will be me (32), dh (35), grandma (54), dd (11) and ds (1). Im looking for two Epcot restaurants to try during this trip. Can you give me your best three??

this of course is all a matter of opinion but

I did enjoy Via Napoli/ Rose and Crown and Spice Rd

We enjoy Biergarten and Chefs - the lounges in Italy and Morocco are also very nice and serve food. Beyond that, try the Yachtsman or Blue Zoo - both within walking distance of EPCOT's International Gateway.

By the way, Flying Fish used to be a favorite of ours, but after 3 poor meals in a row they're off our list.

Via Napoli or Tutto Italia--either is very good!
La Hacienda de San Angel(the new restaurant across from the pyramid)
for a really different experience but very good--Marrakesh in Morocco

I seem to navigate to the Japan hibachi restaurant when I'm there. I also liked the restaurant in Italy and also the German one.

Chefs de France is good, La Hacienda has always been excellent for us, Teppan Edo is yummy as well, if you want a hibachi (most people have them at home so its not their first choice)

1. Either in Italy
2. UK
4. Mexico - Hacienda.
3. Japan

Those are my top 5 (not in order)...have had almost all. Italy is universal, something for everything. Same with UK. Japan is a nice go-to for me, but not everybody likes that food. Enjoy your eats!

We've always had a great meal and service at Tutto Italia , but tried Via Napoli instead on our last trip & thoroughly enjoyed everything about it.

Another one that gets mixed reviews, but always seems to be on par for us is Coral Reef. Nice ambience, and very good food.

Teppon Edo is just meh IMHO (actually Not even as good as your local hibachi place), but The main dining room Tokyo dining was excellent. A lil pricey but very good.

Biergarten is fun n festive, as long as you like all kinds of meat.

I ate at Biergarten on my last trip and it was awesome. We got a little stupid at the buffet, and it was the only meal we ate that day!

I like Marakesh too if you like Medeterranian food. I ate at Coral Reef when I was little, but I don't remember the food that well. It's seafood of course. The atmosphere is incrdible though.

For a quick lunch, my favorite is Kringla in Norway. They have good sandwhichs and deserts, honestly better than the patesserie in France.

Biergarten is a buffet, mostly German food (really good!). You might have another party at your table, but it's kind of nice getting to know other people. One time we had a couple from Japan, another time, a family from Ohio! You never know! They have a little show, with singing and dancing. It's really fun!!

Garden Grill is in The Land, and served family style. Fish, turkey (with dressing), beef, with veggies, potatoes, salad, and dessert. It is also all you care to eat, and we have never had a bad time there, the food and atmosphere have always been terrific! It is a character meal, and lots of fun! Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale in their farmer outfits.

We have been to Coral Reef too. It was ok, probably best if you love seafood! We thought it was just ok. Not bad, but nothing stood out either.

Those are my picks, hope it helps! Have a great trip! :goodvibes

Personally, I would be cautious about the Biergarten recommnedations if you are familar with and a fan of The Student Prince. If The Student Prince is your benchmark for German food, Biergarten will disappoint.

The problem with Epcot restaurants, generally, is that the places at the Boardwalk, Yacht Club, and more specifically, The Swan and Dolphin, are so much better that it makes it hard not to recommend heading there for dinner. Via Napoli has the best pizza in the area. But if you want plated Italian food, Il Mulino is better than Tutto Italia. If you want a steak, Shula's and to a lesser degree, Yachtsman, are better than Le Cellier. And bluezoo and Flying Fish are both better than Chefs de France (though the cuisines are admittedly different). Monseuir Paul is good, but very expensive and a dubious value.

Akershus - The first time I ate here in its current state was December of 2012. I ate here with my grandmother (80), parents (50's), husband (30), daughter (2) and myself. Everyone loved it! When my husband and I did a trip just the two of us, we went back. It was just as wonderful and the princess interaction was still superb. In fact, I'd put it above Cinderella's Royal Table. But, as great as the princess interaction was, everyone really loved the food! You will start out with a cold appetizer buffet that has assorted salads, meats, cheeses, and fruits. Then you pick an entree from the menu (might I recommend the meatballs?). Dessert is served family style and you get an apple cake, chocolate mousse, and rice cream (that is so much better than our rice pudding that it's ridiculous). The servers are so wonderful and friendly, too. Love this place.

Biergarten - Love the food, the servers, and the atmosphere. I love German food, but they have such a selection that I can't imagine even the pickiest of eaters going away hungry. The band really makes things fun here, as well. They don't start performing until after 1:00, so keep that in mind when making reservations. You don't want to miss them. Oh, and save room for dessert because you will want to get both the Bavarian cheesecake and the apple strudel.

Garden Grill - I love how fresh the food is here. It is served family style and you will get steak, fish, and turkey. You are allowed to have more of anything that you liked. Kids get a special meal with a chicken leg, macaroni and cheese, and broccoli, and they can have more, as well. They are also allowed to eat off of the adult platter and adults off of the child's. Much of the food is grown right there in The Land Pavilion, so it is very fresh. The restaurant rotates through the ride, so you will be dining in a rainforest, thunder storm, prairie, dessert, and farm scene. It is character dining with Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Pluto and unlike most character dining places, they will visit your table multiple times. I love that.

Our top 3 would be: Le Cellier, Via Napoli and San Angel Inn. We also enjoy Le Chefs de France, Tutto Gusto and Teppan Edo.

I know you had a bad experience at San Angel, but we eat there every year for lunch and absolutely love it.

I've been dying to try the new upscale restaurant in France, the one on the second floor.

Another vote for the Swalfin restos - can't go wrong with Il Mulino, Blue Zoo or Schula's

Garden Grill - We just ate here for the first time in April and all ages (9-78) really enjoyed it. The food was tasty, the service was superb, and the characters were great!

Chefs of France - Check the menu and see if anything appeals to you. My girls just LOVE the look of this restaurant and like pretending they are fancy ladies.

Rose and Crown - Make a reservation for 8 pm and tell them you want to stay for Illuminations. We have done this several times and always had a great view. Even if you are seated inside, they escort you out to an outside viewing area just prior to the show.

We haven't eaten at the new Italian restaurants yet so I can't recommend them.

1) Biergarten. Love me some german food.. and beverages.
2) Garden Grill (for lunch)
3) Rose and Crown
